This is just hypothetical on my part: Would anyone be excited if it was announced at Sony's E3 conference that PS4 and Vita will get a Steam Link app, allowing you to stream your Steam Library to PS4 and Vita?
With a little fix - I would be excited.

Because Spider Man is a Disney character that Sony don't have the exclusive rights to make games about. Unlike the "holy trinity" (cringe) this is not a deal that benefits Marvel, Disney or their shareholders.Huh? Why wouldn't it work?

There is literally no world in which execs at Disney say "let's restrict a massive character to one platform"
Fair enough.I dunna, it just wouldn't. It's awkward. Everything about it would seem really off, idk just me I suppose.
Part of me believes it, part of me doesn't. I think it's obvious they are working on a new IP, but at the same time ... where the heck is inFAMOUS 3?Finish the trilogy man. Second Son/First Light didn't feel like an end, it felt like a start of something brand new. We'll get iF3 at some point (hopefully with cole back at the helm) but it's just looking really unlikely :/ Wouldn't mind if SP makes an All-Stars sequel, they are quite capable.

I want them to have their breakout title that gives them a lot of attention.
Fair enough.
I want SP to do Infamous 3, SM or a new IP lol. I feel like Infamous has yet to reach full potential. Second Son was rushed due to being a launch/first year title. Honestly, I just want SP to make games. I want them to have their breakout title that gives them a lot of attention.
nah if the world was fair then Sucker Punch would be making a Static Shock game.
Disney has said that they are going to be licensing their ips going forward and Sony has a vested interest in the movie side of things and they have a studio that can make one of these things so it would be a smart move to license out the ip from Disney and market spiderman around Sony products. Seriously this isn't as crazy as people making it out to be. For all we know there arent many publishers out there that have the resources or want to make a spiderman game. Ea is all star wars and Activision hasn't really had success with licensed properties. Ubisoft have enough games that they don't need to license out these games. Bethesda, wb and square are in the same boat so I honestly don't know how many publishers out there that want to start making licensed games.Because Spider Man is a Disney character that Sony don't have the exclusive rights to make games about. No TLG release date announcement would probably cast a huge shadow over the conference. It would divert too much of the discussion.
It has to be there.
Are you me
Much as I'd love that, I really want to see them have one more go with Infamous and tie it all up with another game starring Cole. Then we can talk new IP or licensing
I honestly think the game has some sort of vr stuff to push more people into buying the game and the game is probably going to release in October alongside psvr. The game probably needs that hook to get more looking at it instead of just the hardcore fan baseExactly. If the game is delayed to 2017, okay, fine, whatever, it's delayed. But they HAVE to show it in some form at the presser or we're just back to square one again with people speculating about what state the game is in and if it's cancelled or not. It'll be pre-E3 '15 doom and gloom all over again, and nobody wants that. Ignoring the game altogether at E3 would be disastrous for Sony, and if it doesn't show in some form or another I'll eat my hat.
I expect a short trailer that is coy on story details, a specific release date and maybe some mention of a collector's edition.
If an Infamous 3 gets made I hope they go all in on the Ice powers. Need more things like the Ice Jump.

I agree completely. Sony is going to be heavily invested in the spider-man franchise for the next 6-7 years. With movie production in house, Sony is in the best possible position to make an authentic-to-the-film video game. Disney has opted to do stylized games so far, but know what having a AAA Blockbuster video game franchise could do for them. Spider-man makes the most sense to try this out with given the broad appeal of the character.Disney has said that they are going to be licensing their ips going forward and Sony has a vested interest in the movie side of things and they have a studio that can make one of these things so it would be a smart move to license out the ip from Disney and market spiderman around Sony products. Just imagining IF3 like that with all the potential realized.....YAS! I am thinking of stuff like large scale aerial combat with torn apart buildings in the air and stuff crashing into other standing buildings, lighting soaring through the air, smoke everywhere, etc... I need it!Second Son was such a dissapointment, I don't understand how they can from iF2 to SS. It's like ... wut? They really shouldn't have looked at the trophy data for iF2's good ending. They should have gone with the evil ending but I don't think it would have made much difference considering second son was rushed to high hell, plus that and a launch title.
iF3 has a ton of potential. You bring back Kessler, you bring back Cole and Zeke, Kuo and Nix. You bring back the characters that we love. But most of all, you bring in time travel. That way you can get both good cole and evil cole at the same time (fan-wanky dream I know)
But if they do iF3 and they will, you bring back cole. You don't replace him with some doucebag that was full of himself.
Yes!If an Infamous 3 gets made I hope they go all in on the Ice powers. Need more things like the Ice Jump.
Why would sony even bother with spider man. What if the game is very successful and then goes multiplat? It would be another crash-spyro situation.
Yea its obvious they were in a rush I'm hoping their next game is infamous again. They seemed interested in continuing saying they still had a bunch of ideas so I'm readyJust imagining IF3 like that with all the potential realized.....YAS! I'm telling you, Sucker Punch was just in a rush with ISS. Now that they have their new engine in place and more experience with the PS4, I am expecting great things from them. The jump from Infamous to Infamous 2 was fairly big. I expect the same thing from ISS to whatever they work on next.

Don't except VII Remake at E3, Gamescom or TGS. XV will dominate all of them events.
Perhaps at PSX again!
Well, Bend hasn't actually announced Dead Don't Ride yet. Also, Japan Studio is Sonys biggest, so it's not impossible that they have another project besides the two announced. We should realistically finally see GOW which is all I care about at this point, I believe that all the other big studios have Sony own have announced their next games at this point.
I hope we see more of Quantic Dreams new game. Nobody seems to be talking about it.
Has Quantic Dream messed up everyone's feelings after the mixed Beyond Two Souls?
With a little fix - I would be excited.

Hype down.
I'm fine with that. Gives them time to work on the game and hopefully the next update at PSX is substantial.
SuckerPunch being wasted on something as boring as spiderman would be nightmare-tier news. The Infamous IP has a LOT of potential if they just get the fuck out with the "trophy data driven canon" and just give as the world-in-ruins-conduit-all-out-war scenario.
Sucker Punch is building a new motion capture studio for their next game which I thought was a new IP. I doubt they would do that for A Spiderman game.
I'm not. At least show a short trailer.

Eh imo a good Spiderman game is much welcome especially if they get the web slinging down. While I love Infamous. I think it's time to put that IP down for a bit.
Yep, same for me. But they also should take a break from Infamous for now.
I hope they're working on a brand new IP.
I'm with in that if they won't do a new Infamous then I'll gladly take a new IP. Just please not spiderman. There is nothing they could do with that that would make me interested. I mean of course the gameplay could be pretty good but the character has never interested me at all.
