The episode two weeks from now has a title that suggests that Goku will be facing Copy Vegeta,so it's probably Gotenks who loses or gets his power absorbed too and then Goku appears to save the day at the end of the episode, with the battle finishing the other week.

Caught a couple of episodes of DBZ Kai the other day, and it got me wanting to watch the whole thing. Are Toonami and Blu-Ray the only way to get it? And Blu-Ray only has half the series so far? Didn't look like any paid streaming services were carrying it.

Seems the Funimation service only has the original. Not a bad thing by any means though... I personally feel Kai is a disjointed mess from a production standpoint.

Getting caught up, just saw last weeks episode. What an adorable episode, that might be one of my favorite episodes in all 3 main series. I've actually been liking these slice of life episodes of Dragonball Super better than the fighting arcs. I like how integrated Piccolo is into Gohan's family, that's a pretty neat touch. He's a better grandpa than Goku is lol.

Yeah, I saw that they had the original cut. I was more interested in Kai simply because it's fewer episodes.

Vegeta's had a good balance of screwing up and kicking ass in this show. I wouldn't worry about him becoming irrelevant anytime soon, especially since this seems to be a mere mini-arc. At least there's a bit of danger finally!

See I've only caught a couple of Kai episodes here and there, and have only recently been watching it off Toonami. Besides the awful censoring, there's alot of weird jump cuts and edits throughout the episodes that are very jarring and just makes the whole thing seem sloppy. I wasn't really sure if that was just the TV version of Kai or what.

Best case scenario I can think of is the villain has more people with him so others can get a fight. But than again I thought the tournament would give us that and it just turned out to be goku and vegeta.(piccolo got robbed)

If you are limited with your free time, I suggest watching the movies Battle of Gods (first) then Resurrection of F, then start watching Super at episode 28.

The first part of Super (1-27) is basically a retelling of those two movies with some filler mixed in. It's not all bad, but it's definitely time consuming and the Resurrection F visual quality is the worst thing I have ever seen in a professional product, so beware.
