So, Gio and Adam are in Japan again

Possibly a trailer. Or maybe just an update on the games progress. Maybe this also means they'll visit Atlus and see what's up with Persona 5 :D

I get that The Last Guardian's not a technical tour-de-force in terms of the pixels and polygons it's pushing, but as another poster mentioned above, I thought the animation was pretty unreal. Also, the art style's fantastic.
TLG's actually very polygon-rich.

Team ICO's style of rich geometric detail, low-contrast stone textures and repeating patterns is reminiscent of games that played to PS2's hardware strengths and weaknesses, but I don't think it looks dated at all.

Nice pics. That is well above any PS3 game.

Infinite Warfare needs to have one hell of a stage demo to overturn the negativity. MS rubbin their hands together with any BF1 scraps EA has left after their show.

IW doesn't have to do anything but just release this November. Nevermind what people are saying on the internet. It'll sell gangbusters. Them including MW:Remastered insures that. Oh and people saying MWR will be more played than IW are talking out their ass. IW will be fine.

I'll be picking up both IW and BF1. People always say they are done with COD but come right back. Simply because the gameplay is accessible.

Not talking about sales.

IW (the studio, not the game) have a reputation at this point. I have friends that are die-hard COD fans that are checking out BF1 this year, 'cause they don't trust IW and they weren't interested in what this game was offering.

You're right, it WILL do gangbusters. But that's because they sell so much that even if it doesn't hit BLOPS3 numbers that's still better than every other game this year.

??? Then what's the point of your comment? Negativity kills sales? COD is a franchise that even with negativity going with it, the game still sells. Or are you talking about the hive minded internet folk who have to choose a winner?
People are fatigued with the future/near future shooter setting, especially when BF1 seems like a breath of fresh air and expected IW to be something much crazier when space combat ect leaked. There is nothing hive mind about thinking the CoD reveal was boring as fuck compared to BF1. At least Titanfall 2 prolly has mechas up the whazoo.

Am I not allowed to say that they need to blow it out of the park to get any real hype going if the game sells X million copies anyway? I guess I need to only rag on Dreams then.

I really dont wanna do this BF1 vs Cod stuff in here. Neither showed gameplay anyway so until they do I can't say which will be better doing anything other than waiting is ridiculous. Minorities are always the loudest. Same way people are tired of future stuff same way I'm sure people don't want WW1 always two sides to a coin. Both will sell ridiculous amounts so it doesn't even matter

No one is fatigued with COD. We have this convo I feel every year. Black Ops 3 literally proved this franchise is still kicking hard. This will be no different. BF1 looks amazing and I'll be picking it up but it's also a different type of FPS compared to COD.

Why do they need to blow anyone away when people continue to buy these games hand over fist?

I am fatigued with CoD if it doesn't do anything interesting. I bought BO3, I'm not going to buy IF unless it can change my mind why I should get it over BF1. Last year I didn't buy BF Hardline. Am I being a heretic here or something?

I am not going to buy both, especially when I still have BO3 that people will play for a long time if I feel like playing CoD.

Also I don't remember having this convo ever before.

Crash will probably open the show or if it's a VR X new experience it'll close the show by a "but one more thing" announcement

I can't see them announcing a VR Crash Bandicoot game, just doesn't mesh well and would disappoint a lot of people. But I can totally see them announcing a new Crash game as a "one more thing" announcement to build hype.

Unless you mean for you specifically, then no, not really. Last year the most hype was defnitely around those forever anticipated games.

I'll give you a new Red Dead, but Spiderman and Superman would almost certainly be met with a certain amount of scepticism, and I feel GoW4 is also still in a situation where it has to prove that series isn't played out yet.

They definitely would be met with skepticism, but I think that even with it, it would generate more talk and hype surrounding. It may be a biased opinion, but hey, these are what the forums are for.

You are definitely right about the hype surrounding those forever anticipated games, but the hype is gone after a couple months. You already know what to expect so it doesn't hit you as hard.

I hope this time when they show a trailer or gameplay for a game they don't keep cutting to a camera which is pointed at the screens on stage it's always super annoying.

Crash is way more unexpected than a new GoW. They should do the wise thing and open with the expectedness (is that a word?), and then floor everyone right at the end with the 'Coot.

please don't end on kratos, that would be the biggest anti-climax for me ever. i hate that guy

I think they should open with Crash, set the jolly tone. End with God of War.
Agreed. The same way they opened with TLG last year. Let people know it is real from the start.

I think it will be a good way to set the tone and GoW4 as the finisher with their next big IP after UC4 and GT Sport.

Dead Don't Ride, Sucker Punch/Sony Japan title and Agent can be somewhere in between.

Something I've noticed about E3 is that Sony likes to open with first party content. It will probably start with a bang and be either Crash or Bend's game followed by new looks at TLG, Horizon, etc.

God of War seems like a logical choice to be the closer like Uncharted was last year.

So what you are saying is open with Crash and end with Crash Team Racing?

I can't stand Kratos either but I know his game is huge for Sony. GoW3 has the biggest NPD launch in their first party history. They'll want to end on him as an exclamation mark for everything else.

A new Ape Escape would be amazing, even a remaster would be nice.

I loved reading the descriptions for each monkey in the original. My favorite was "Fun, sun, shiny new gun."

I would be totally okay with that. I played CTR for the first time last year and it was ace.

Seriously though, I don't want them to open with Crash. It'd be like sitting down to have a three course meal and gorging on dessert first thing. Something that big of a deal, you need to ease into it. Especially if Sony owns the IP now and they've got a good developer working on it.

I reallyhope this is the E3 that Gio floods the stage with his efforts. I really want this to be the time where his work really pays off.

More Gio is always a good thing. He's an affable presence to say the least.

Yes, my thoughts exactly.
