So, I admit I didn't read all 30 pages, but is this whole thread just RandyRaceCar and other corresponding with the poster shitting up the thread, or just the last few pages?

Edit: And banned. Alright then.

Welp...RIP in pieces. lol

I'm hoping to see a new RPG from Sony other than Horizon. Nothing comes out from Verendus's Shadow Hearts rumor huh...

Can Suckerpunch still be doing Spidey? Didn't Activision confirm they have the rights to the games a few days ago?

Also, I want a Spiderman game soooooo bad. I just finished reading Superior Spiderman by Dan Slott. What a fantastic run. People who havent read it should check it out.

Superior spiderman was good until the end
Could sony have made a powerplay with marketing similar to their mlb deal with disney

Well, FF XII remaster is a given.

I don't think that'll be a simple PS2->PS4 classic. Probably a more intensive remake by HexaDrive like Type-0 I'm guessing. Also going by precedent they'll also probably throw in a demo for FFVII:R or something and make $60.

I don't think so.

Suckerpunch making a Spiderman game makes too much sense for it not too happen.

I don't think they are making a spidey game. Sony likes to control their IPs.

Nah, just the last 4-5 pages.

Last arc or last issue? I thought it started falling off near a bit near the end and the inclusion of Mary Jane just felt so forced, despite her being such an integral part of Spidey.

Yes, I'm still salty about One More Day.

Don't remeber if anyone posted this:

The day Sony announces a AAA JRPG at a conference is the day I can finally rest. I'm hoping for it constantly - the fabled FF killer.

The game, should it exist, would probably suck (that's just my luck these days) ... but it's an announcement I need so I can feel comfortable with how Japan Studio is being put to use. It's currently the most under utilised studio they have, I think. Becker took over a few years back and I think it's about time we saw the results of that.

I'm REALLY excited to see more Horizon. Hopefully this is the big blowout as so far all we have seen is the first trailer and that one area in both demos.

Last arc primarily due to fan backlash they started forcing things to wrap up the story, slott did a great job with how spock interacted with other heroes especially him talking down to luke cage and others in infinity

One has to think Activision will have a game next year but spidey was moved up by disney/sony in place of black panther so its likely going to be rushed... i would love a suckerpunch spidey game tho

I don't know why, but I feel previous years there was more buzz or leaks of exciting games. This year just seems to be more of a reaffirmation of games that were announced already last year.

Maybe part of that is that May and April just had a ton of excellent content come out.

I mean UC4, Ratchet, DS3, Doom, Overwatch. All huge hitters in the span of a couple of weeks.

Well the last few pages were a fun read (yes, I'm a 50pp user! Stop judging me!)

On-topic: Demonite's teasing has me real excited.

Is anyone still hoping for Rockstar to reveal Agent for PS4?

Agent is most likely dead. Certainly the one that was being worked on by Rockstar North. GTA games take them long enough to develop without having another game on their plate. If they announce anything at E3 it'll most likely be the next Red Dead. We all know it's coming, so it's just a matter of when they decide to reveal it.

This is a post I am fully in concurrence with. Given the audience that Sony has cultivated over the past 20 years or so, it's high time they had their own JRPG goliath to coexist with Final Fantasy.

Yea, I hope they don't rush out a game. Plenty of Spidey movies to come.

And that's really unfortunate about the fan backlash. I started off disliking Spock (amazing nickname) but grew to love the character and story a few issues in. Such a great insight into Peter as Spidey without even having him there.

My feelings on a possible Sucker Punch Spider-Man are mixed.

Pound for pound they are probably my favorite first party studio. I've played the crap out of all of their games, even Second Son, because they absolutely nail the FUN factor. If they were to make a Spider-Man game I'm 100% sure it would be great and I would have a blast with it.

However, I would rather Sucker Punch develop a new IP. Spider-Man doesn't belong to Sony and there's no telling where the rights may end up. If they were to make a Spider-Man game, for all we know it may be a one off thing. But if they made a new IP they could craft something that is wholly their vision that could then be built upon with subsequent installments into something special like Infamous 2 or Uncharted 2.

Whatever they're working on, I doubt it will be at E3. Scott Rodhe has said their game isn't as far along as Bend's. I also assume they don't want to blow their first party load at one show.

It's been waaaaaaaay too long. The leaks weren't that interesting and at this point it's probably very different from them if it still exists so I'm not sure what to expect. I'm still kind of hoping they'll reveal it, but more so from how awesome it would be for all these games that were thought of as vaporware impossibilities suddenly existing again than actually being hyped for the game. But it's Rockstar so I have no doubt that if they do release a trailer it'll be awesome and get my hyped up immediately.

It's been so long since Verendus hinted at it. I fear it may well have been quietly cancelled at some point. We don't really hear about stuff like that with Japanese studios like we do with western studios like SSM.

Last year is going to be so hard to top. It was like one of those E3 memes with the perfect set of dream announcements but then it happened in real life.

Is square having one?

So far, no 'press conference' has been mentioned thus far, so if Nier makes a show, I suspect it'll be at Sony's conference, as will a few of Square Enix's 'Collective' games if they do indeed do another indie reel.

Speaking of which, I hope both Microsoft & Sony give indies their own dedicated slot. I'm not hoping, or even wanting, each game to have a slot but I liked what Sony did in 2013 and what Microsoft did...last year[?]...in at least not confining them to a montage. Montages are OK, but it's always nice to have the devs/creator up on stage.

If Verendus' hint is any true, then the game won't be release anytime soon. I expected it to be at the end of PS4's cycle.

I agree with pretty much everything you've said. It's hard to justify having SP give up creative control and be limited to the Spidey universe over something new that they want to do.

Or they could make Sly. Someone please make Sly. Anyone?
