My feelings on a possible Sucker Punch Spider-Man are mixed.
Pound for pound they are probably my favorite first party studio. I've played the crap out of all of their games, even Second Son, because they absolutely nail the FUN factor. If they were to make a Spider-Man game I'm 100% sure it would be great and I would have a blast with it.
However, I would rather Sucker Punch develop a new IP. Spider-Man doesn't belong to Sony and there's no telling where the rights may end up. If they were to make a Spider-Man game, for all we know it may be a one off thing. But if they made a new IP they could craft something that is wholly their vision that could then be built upon with subsequent installments into something special like Infamous 2 or Uncharted 2.
Whatever they're working on, I doubt it will be at E3. Scott Rodhe has said their game isn't as far along as Bend's. I also assume they don't want to blow their first party load at one show.
