A game can be updated therefore any criticism cannot be legit... quite the logic you have going there.

The official wheel is thought to be very high end which is sad because I wanted something like the DFGT for PS4.
Did you somehow miss the parts where PD themselves confirmed that those features are gone? What people know? Game will be updated regulary and who know what will be in updates. So much about legit criticism. LOL!
There are T300/T150 models, which are also PS4 official wheels and will probably get GT-branded at some point now that game is officially revealed.
I agree about the high-end model, still trying to get additional info, but it seems we'll have to wait until E3.
Looks to be direct drive, so I'm pretty interested in hearing more. If it's an affordable DD wheel then it could be massive.

That lighting ;___;
Affordable direct drive......is such a thing possible. Like for £300?

That lighting is ridiculous.
Does the game still have the premium and standard cars thing? And whats the talk about the game using PS3 assets?
What I've really wanted for a while is for you to be able to replicate what it's like to drive round the Nurburgring in real life.
Dynamic time/weather progression and circa 50 AI cars of all different classes just driving round. As in, you don't race round it, you just go for a drive round it in your car of choice like you would on an open track day.
I guess that's out.
GT still has the best looking cars and lighting engine. But their track details are so bad, the grass and trees ugh....
3 years after GT6, we have a new GT:
1. Without true career mode
2. 1/3 of GT6's premium models
3. Presumably without old/classic cars
3. Without dynamic weather
4. Without day/night cycle
Thank you PD!
New video is really good. quality isn't great, but that lighting! :O

That's kinda how Carousel looksI don't understand what's going on in this picture : is the road texture badly registered ?
From the GIF above doesn't seem that there is that much of an elevation to justify the sudden change in the borders but maybe is just an optical illusion? If isn't so, this build must be the result of a fast assembling that I believed until now.

Wow this game is a mess. Not even Amar could defend this.
The Cabinet of Dr. Calligari in a GT game!

Weren't the GT5 and GT6 premium models designed with next-gen in mind? I swear that I remember it being some kind of PR bulletpoint in the past.3 years after GT6, we have a new GT:

While I'd be gladly proved wrong, I'm quite sure it isn't DD.Looks to be direct drive, so I'm pretty interested in hearing more. If it's an affordable DD wheel then it could be massive.

Although I personally have zero problem with them dumping non-premium cars.

I'm glad I realized this years ago. If you want proper, full featured, sim racing you build a PC. iRacing/AC/pCARS/R3E/DiRT Rally and soon Forza is all anyone needs. Now you may say 4 of those 6 titles are/will be on consoles. However, those titles are far superior and more complete on the PC. Not to mention you can use any FFB wheel.
At this points you can't put all your sim racing chips on GT.
I'm trying to think of if any game HAS ever done this. I imagine you could fake it in rFactor, allow any car for the AI regardless of your own class, set it to max opponents and just play on a long practice session so everyone starts at different times and they're judged on their lap time as opposed to position.
If they'll sell just the base, for ~750€ or a whole package for ~850€, I'll have to sell my T500 with 2 wheel add-ons.£700 would be a great price.
Playstation VR support? That explains the shitty graphics.
Why? This only means a locked 60fps. A performance that was often reached on ps3.
VR at 60fps is much more demanding than HDTV at 60fps. Stereoscopic split, higher target resolution, optical corrections, wider/taller FOV, etc. Why? This only means a locked 60fps. A performance that was often reached on ps3.
Yup, looks good.

But I can't believe it won't have dynamic time of day.
VR tradeof is the only reason I believe in, otherwise BS.Ok, that looks real good, but wtf. Is there really no dynamic time of day? has this been confirmed?
Also what video is that gif from?
Oh, GT. I was almost on board with you again, but of course I was assuming that what we keeping features we already had. No time progression is extremely cruel.
Remember how we thought GT5 was leaned out and delayed a bit more to try to push 3D? I get the feeling that the same thing is happening here to make it work for VR. Which is great for the VR, but makes the product underwhelming compared to what you think it'd be capable of.
Can't wait for GT..8? Just 4 years to go! Usually it's the odd numbers that make the feature leaps and even numbers for raw amount of content, but that seems flipped that now.
That video is awesome.
So Kaz is going to the 24 hour race this weekend but his upcoming game won't have dynamic time/weather?
El oh el.
I'm starting to get that feeling that how's as good a time as any to start using my block list... There are opinions and then there is blind fanboyism.

What the hell is the big deal with dynamic time of day? It's a nice feature to have, but to not buy the game based on that?
Everything else we've seen has been looking better every time and it's still not a full-blown GT7. I can't imagine everything they can add to the game without worrying about dynamic time-of-day (better AA and more consistent shadows, for example) not being worth the elimination of dynamic time-of-day.
It's also just not a feature that really matters outside of 24-hour races... but do we even have confirmation that the game won't at least go day to night and back to day in a 24-hour race? I bet that's at least still in there.
No.Didn't Sony say that their box is doing the magic and that games only need to do 60fps?
