Am I the only one that thinks PS4Neo won't happen? (maybe I'm still living in denial)
Everyone in this thread are kinda sure from what I can see.
There's wayyy too many leaks for it not to be a thing.

Can someone give me a run down if all the rumors? Usually there's rumors up the ass this close to E3

http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/...to_Build_Their_Next_Big_Game.php?sf22567246=1Sony’s Santa Monica Studio is hiring in a major way. The team wants to bring in upward of 50 people across all disciplines to work on their next big game for PlayStation 4. Their project is well into production, and they're hiring fast. So, why Santa Monica Studio?
Santa Monica Studio is part of the PlayStation Worldwide Studios 1st party family and is renowned for evolving the action/adventure genre with the iconic God of War franchise. They have also championed innovation in games, and continued to mentor new voices in independent development. Whether it’s through the incubation program established with thatgamecompany and their series of widely acclaimed titles, flOw, Flower and Journey, or their work with Giant Sparrow on The Unfinished Swan and What Remains of Edith Finch, or the development partnerships with external developers like The Chinese Room on Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture or Fun Bits Interactive on Fat Princess Adventures, Santa Monica Studio’s External Development continues to push the boundaries of gaming.

Has this been brought up yet? I don't know if it means much but PlayStation China wrote an article on the history of Crash (ND games and sadly nothing else):

50 is a LOT of people for a studio whose game is already in full production. Makes me wonder if they're hiring for a second project.Sonys Santa Monica Studio is hiring in a major way.

Team sizes always ramp up for and during full production. But if God of War went into full production 1.5 to 2 years ago, I find it odd that they're just now hiring so many people. Usually it's more incremental or closer to when the production begins. Studios also contract others for help with assets and such. Again, hiring over 50 people is a lot and raises my eyebrow.I really doubt it's for a second project. Considering the new IP failed, I doubt Sony will let them develop one again so soon. From what was said when the news broke in 2014, the remaining team members were put onto God of War, which was already in pre-production at the time.
Do studios hire people when a project is already deep in production though?

I could easily be wrong though. God of War is a massive project.
Possible but this hiring spree began in March of this year. Even if we assume that they spent all of 2014 doing pre-production, that would still mean over a year of full production. You don't hire this kind of man-power at once unless you're gearing up for something significant like the beginning of full production or to get something else off of the ground. It's possible the game had an unusually long pre-production cycle.
- Shu Suzuki comes on stage with Boyles to update the fans on Shenmue 3, announced PC/ PS4 timed exclusive "2017".
So when do the actual rumors start happening? Like a day before the conferences?
If Crash is really happening, I think that should start off the conference, and then followed by Sony Bend's title. Main reason is because Layden will start the conference most likely and I think it makes sense for him to be the one who announces it.
I liked the way last years started with TLG and Horizon, and Crash and Dead Don't Ride would be a nice copy of last years start. The only thing I feel they messed up with was ending on Uncharted, it should have been something new, which they can do by ending it with a big Horizon demo, and then the one last thing of GOW4.
I've seen a few people suggest a December release for Horizon, wouldn't that kill Horizon's sales? Don't games usually do bad in December?
Ok good, just wondering. It'd be nice to hear some more Crash rumors though. That's more or less what happened last year. The rumor of TLG resurfacing happened on June 9th. Yu Suzuki posted a picture of a forklist on his Twitter account on June 14th. And Siliconera posted a rumor about FF7R being real early in the morning on June 15th (the day of E3).
ND is going to waste 2 years of Druckmann's life writing a Crash Bandicoot sequel? What's next, Lin Manuel Miranda writing a reboot of Cats?Nah, it will be director of the game, Druckmann
Why two years? Why a waste? They are big enough to have several projects going at once.ND is going to waste 2 years of Druckmann's life writing a Crash Bandicoot sequel? What's next, Lin Manuel Miranda writing a reboot of Cats?
Might as well lol.So... Looks like I'll be doing the OT again? I've been doing the OTs since 2010 lol.

Does anyone think Sony could do a surprise PS4K BC for all prior PlayStation consoles or would they just leave it to PS Now? Is there anything saying it's a possibility? Maybe they want to react to X1's BC.
Well, I disagree. We'll see how it goes down in about to weeks. For the millionth time. ND is not interested in making platformers. If Sony acquired the Crash IP, they should build a new studio to make it, or expand an existing studio. Not just gave a studio the IP and telling them to do it. Also, yeah Neil writing Crash is a huge waste of Neil´s talent.

My prediction:
- Opens on Horizon Zero Dawn. Dated for early December 2016 with new gameplay trailer - I think it will come out in February - May 2017
- The Last Guardian - Dated September 2016
- Gran Turismo Sports additional features and new cars revealed with new trailer
- Activision presents the latest exp pack for Destiny, maybe something new (October) and there usual thing on Call Of Duty + DLC
- Someone from Blizzard introduces World of Warcraft for consoles (with a special deal for PS4) - Don't think this will happen
- Epic Paragon blowout, new trailer and release date (August 2016)
- PSVR blowout with tons of titles: Rigs, GT Sports, Robinsons, etc.
- No Man's Sky PSVR edition announced (exclusive VR edition, time limited)
- Kojima walks on stage to talk about his new game (probably way too early, but they have a Sony /Kojima partnership. Also possible at TGS) - Still too early but I wouldn't rule it out entirely
- EA/ Lucasfilm introduces their latest Star Wars game: Rogue Squadron IV: Rogue One (compatible PSVR exclusively for VR), also present their "Battlefront experience" for PSVR
- Rockstar introduces their new title: Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR1 coming same time on PS Now) with time exclu DLC for PS4
- Gravity Rush 2 announced, dated late 2016 Japan, early 2017 US/ Europe - Announced? GR2 was announced at TGS 2015, and I think it will come out worldwide on a date between August - October this year.
- Persona 5 new trailer & release date for US/ Europe (Q1 2017) - I think it will come out in the US in December 2016
- FF XV blowout, new trailer.
- Trailer for KH 3 (dated "2017"). - I think it will come packaged with a 2.8 trailer beforehand showing the first 0.2 BBS Aqua gameplay but otherwise yeah I think KHIII will be given a 2017 release year at the show
- FF 7 R episode 1 trailer dated "2017". - I want this to happen but think Square Enix won't show it out of fear of overshadowing FFXV
- Deus Ex blowout. - Trailer maybe but not a blowout
- Yu Suzuki comes on stage with Boyes to update the fans on Shenmue 3, announced PC/ PS4 timed exclusive "2017".
- Nioh trailer with release date (August or September 2016)
- "Suprise" appearance by someone from Sucker Punch with a big tease, but no trailer: Just a giant web graphics announcing something "Spectacular" for summer/ fall 2017. - I think it's too early and they would just straight up announce it as Spider-Man if they wanted to announce anything this year
- With Layden and someone from ND (maybe Balestra or Wells) here to introduce someone from another studio saying that although they are hard at work on UC4 DLC and "another project starting", they finally are able to get something dear to them rolling, and they apologize for the teasing. "Crash is now home"...
- Sony Bend's time to shine, they introduce their new title, dated "2017": Dead Don't Ride (DDR): Post Apocalyptic horror open world, mix of Mad Max, TLOU and The Walking dead with a gameplay trailer
- Santa Monica goes on stage to introduce God of War 4, with a gameplay trailer in a brand new setting (Viking pantheon). Dated "Fall 2017".
end
Dead Don't Ride (Bend's game)I'm not keeping up with "what to expect" but I'll just put in:
- New Crash game
- New Spiderman game by Sucker Punch
- PS4 Neo reveal
Any rumored stuff?

There's some generic E3 rumors and confirmations floating around...
- Shadow of Mordor 2 from Warner Bros.
- Resident Evil reboot from Capcom
- New game from Deep Silver (confirmed, probably Volition or 4A)
- Take Two coming in a "Big Way" to go along with the Red Dead rumors
- New IP from EA (This is confirmed)
There's a chance any of these could show up at Sony or Microsoft's conferences
Is it? I thought the only new thing we were seeing was a new Unravel?
I'd say a major hardware release needs to be announced months in advance. If it's indeed releasing in autumn, E3 should be perfect for that, plenty of time to convince people to upgrade and explain how the new ecosystem works.I doubt they announce PS4 Neo in E3 if they are supposed to release it in Autumn or so. I also think it's too soon to see Shenmue III gameplay, but we may get a small update on it.

I really have a hard time wrapping my head around the anger that gets thrown around when someone says they hope Crash isn't happening. To be clear, I also think that "fuck you and fuck Crash" is a shitty attitude, but we all have preferences. I also hope that Sony does not use first party resources on a new Crash game. If they reacquire or license the rights—and I think they have or will soon—I hope that they contract it out to a studio like Sanzaru.
In my opinion, a developer like Naughty Dog should not be investing its resources in a remake or reboot of Crash. The original games were alright, but I've seen enough of them. It's tough to say that with Crash fans in mind, but game development is often about opportunity cost. Sony only has so many internal development resources, and there are things I'd rather see them prioritize.
I feel no enmity toward those who are bummed that Japan Studio is still working on The Last Guardian (which I'm really looking forward to), or toward those who want Spider-Man or more InFamous from Sucker Punch (I desperately want to see them go in a new direction). It's beyond silly to malign someone for wanting to see Sony's development efforts align with their tastes.
I think it has less to do with their personal tastes and more to do with the fact that the word "waste" is thrown around. From what I'm seeing, if Naughty Dog decided they wanted to do a Crash Bandicoot game, the fact people think it's a 'waste' is what is getting people's goat. Saying "I don't think Crash is the kind of game Naughty Dog should be making, I would prefer _____" is fine. Saying "Crash is a waste of their talent, they should never ever do a platformer because they're REALLY good at 'Genre B' and platformers can't have good writing and they can't have setpieces" is horseshit.
And maybe it's a weird personal thing, but I think it's almost reductive because it pigeonholes Naughty Dog into a category of game that they've shown time and time again is not their only possible strength. I mean, let's be blunt, Sony's not forcing them to do anything at this point. The way Naughty Dog works is WHAT works about them. If they took on Crash, it wouldn't be an order from on high, the way I see it.
Sony have to announce something regarding their E3 plans this week - hopefully today.
They're being unusally quiet.
