speaking of gwent, Hearts of Stone had the most hilariously transparent line for Geralt's obsession with it if you play it.

Like you're having a heart to heart with someone and he's all "I have an important question to ask you.... do you play Gwent?"

Like jeez Geralt, take a hint.

You can start this expansion at 36 an above I believe though. The closer you are to 40 the better though from what I hear.

Cheers. I'm on DM so I'll probably need to get to 40 but glad to hear I won't be blocked from the DLC if I don't manage it in time.
 
In case you missed it, the DLC has been live on Xbox One all day.

I played it very safe and made sure to get it as I wanted the complete Viper set. That last stretch with the time limit, super confusing environment and special items to grab was incredibly stressful.

Speaking of the Viper set, is that one of the best in the game? Good enough to start the DLC with?
 
I really don't like how the second bomb slot is hidden and you have to cycle through it. I get why they did that for the quest items, it's not like you're using those very often, but bombs are much more frequently used for me.

In regards to levels, the opposite happened to me. I was level 68 and needed 1k xp to hit 69 for the Viper armor, now I've been dropped to 66 with 0 xp.
 
Hmmm my 36 character has mastercrafted wolven armour. Think that is from the first DLC?

What is better than this? I honestly haven't played the game since the first DLC so I feel quite disorientated just now lol.

I'm level 36, just about to hit 37.

Probably tried to fix it, broke it the other way. I have like 2 days on my save but about half of that according to Steam last I checked.

yeah I have all of the other viper stuff and for the steel sword I'm using the sword you get at the end of HOS. hopefully I'm good for blood and wine and can get something better
 
weren't there supposed to be set boni for witcher armor? or only for the new ones from blood and wine?

The Eastern-looking Ofieri set was level 38 and the Viper witcher set is level 39. Those were the best armor sets that I found in the DLC.
 
Damn, this really sneaked up on me. Finally started HoS today, hope I'll be able to finish it by next week so I can try and jump into B&W while everyone else is playing it too.

That's the thing, I feel like regardless of having the complete Viper set that the expansion will likely yield better/cooler shit anyway, so it's not worth stressing over. I just thought the armor looked amazing and sleek.

Also I know I'm being lazy but I'm on mobile so I'll ask for the multiple time where is the store that sells the Gwent book? I know it's Novigrad somewhere. Cheers
 
Downloaded the patch and now I've failed the gwent collection quest, even though I have the missable cards that the changelog mentions. Oh well, got everything prepared now. Anyone know when we'll be able to download it on GOG in the UK?

My Black Blood and Moon Dust bombs are ready.
 
By the way, graphically this looks incredible on Xbox. You can see right across the world from certain locations.
 
Wow so I leave my ps4 in rest mode, but witcher 3 was running. Patch didn't automatically download. Fucking shit

I was hoping to wake up to a patched game. Lol now I have to wait a few fucking hours. Damn it
 
If I'm going to be on Xbox in an hour or two, will I unlock the achievements for B&W? It might've already been addressed, but I couldn't find anything on earlier pages.

I usually notice the difference when entering and leaving Novigrad. I don't notice it now. Walked around a bit and definitely feels better.

Making everything compatible with the dye system in the new expansion means that some old armor may have some color changes. Unsure how severe they are but it was in the patch notes.

My Feline set looks the same.

Colours of the base armours have really changed with 1.21, to accommodate the dye system.

From memory, there's only 3 people there who have cards. The Inn keeper, the merchant you save at the start of the game and the dude sitting at one of the tables in the inn who teaches you how to play.
