Thinking about maybe double dipping.
I already have this game plus season pass on ps4, which I bought back when I didn't have a pc that was good enough to run this.
However Ive recently upgraded and should be able to play with most if not all settings on ultra.. which judging by screenshots looks really nice.
Plus, even though I'm not a big fan of certain aspects of the game (the combat mostly) I do think it's a really well designed game overall and I feel like CD PRoject Red Deserves to have all of my money.
ALso, it's been quite a while since I last played it and I stopped playing like 40 hours into the game and I feel like I'd probably be lost if I continued where I left off... So I'll be starting over anyway.

On the other hand starting next week I probably won't really be in the mood for video games for a while so I dunno...

I'd imagine there's combat mods on the PC so maybe you can adapt it more to your liking there.

970 and 3770k here. Runs a bit worse, but that could be due to any number of reasons. Just tossing it out there.

I don't remember the PS4 version being this wonky. In two hours I've had one infinite loading screen, one game breaking glitch where the camera is permanently zoomed into Geralt and I cannot interact with anything, and one bizarre sequence where I got stuck in midair after a finisher and my legs were shrunken down.

Edit: Make that two infinite loading screens. I'm tempted to just get the PC version but I don't want to lose my save.

New UI is nice. Menu still takes a few seconds longer to load on PS4 when switching tabs, but it is an improvement.

I validated the files, replaced the bin file, and reinstalled/deleted all mods that have scripts and I still get script compilation errors.

Nice. I still have to beat Hearts of Stone on top of that.

Welp. It was darker nights; I was about to turn it off. Thanks anyway. I guess I might stop playing until the mods are fixed; I can't stand those extremely bright nights and that ugly, cartoon-y hud (I will check the new one now).

Maybe I'm imagining things, but do torches and things no longer cast shadows? (PS4 version)

Your own torch still does but I feel like I remember them casting shadows when you ran by them before. They also seem brighter. On the plus side they seem to be active from much further away.

Again, could just be in my head.
