The Witcher III: Blood & Wine |OT| One last contract, one last plough

I'm still grinding my way through vanilla W3. Has the load times gotten worse since the patch for people? I'm noticing a lot of "loading" promptings when entering conversations and whatnot. Wasn't that way before.

PS4 here btw.

Did your weapons always used to break so quickly? Maybe I forgot what the game was like but I played for a couple of hours and already had to repair my weapons and armor several times

So how can you check what Gwent cards you're missing for the trophy? Trying to build my skellige deck at the moment. Could have sworn you'd be able to check what you were missing after the new patch.

I liked that mod where you could activate witcher senses to see the quest objective markers. It was a part of FriendlyUI...would really love it for this game, since I hate staring at the minimap.

Loving the first few hours I've played, with one big exception I ran into right before quitting tonight.

I won't spoil the quest, but there's a total BS balogna sandwich combat encounter in the sidequest "Extreme Cosplay". I'm not even on a high difficulty level but had to reload the auto save 5 times. For reference I don't think I died a single time in Heart of Stone.

Applying oil during battle, menu sorting, better (more immersive) HUD control, and more great features. It will be updated soon though; the mod author is already contacting the devs to fix the scripts.

On that right now. Running up the stairs helped but otherwise it was some BS.

New area is gorgeous. The colors make it feel like a 'vacation' setting compared to the base game's landmass.

And the way the knights talk. Oh man, as a lover of medieval flowery English I'm gonna be in heaven. It contrasts perfectly with Geralt's no bullshit attitude. Seeing that astle in the distance has got me all worked up.

I dunno how I'm gonna juggle this and Overwatch at the same time.

Know exactly which fight you mean, it seems actually broken and will no doubt get patched. It fades in from the cutscene and Geralt's still in 'walk around' mode, so when you try to move out of the way you're super slow meanwhile the enemies are fucking you up.

sigh need help very early 2nd "boss" I guess?
where can I find some moon dust bombs/crafting recipe and or this black blood potion for this vampire fight...it seems like you actually need them to get anywhere in the fight. my yrden thing seems pretty garbage against it.

I love the new UI, but I preferred the fixed and instant tooltip from the previous UI.

The new floating tooltip does make the text more readable, and I do like that, but it also makes it harder when you're say looking through potions to find the right one, and the tooltip box gets in to the way of your navigation. It also makes the navigation difficult because the tooltip keeps moving all the time as you move, so it takes more time to adjust and read the information.
Maybe a fixed option like before that just shows the name of the object you have highlighted when the floating tooltip is off might be a good solution?

170 capacity how?!

Has anyone managed to beat the third event in the sidequest Warble of a Smitton Knight on Death March?
My team just gets destroyed and I get left fighting five people with full health.
Almost tempted to drop the difficulty for the fight given it seems unfair and I already beat the main game.

And lol at them still not patching the Stat reset item being part of your food bar.

I beat it using only Yrden. I don't know if my game was glitched or not but the boss did minuscule damage to me. Easiest fight ever because I barely lost any health on her hits. To

This gif still applies.

Only put 3 hours in and am so utterly happy. It's so nice to be back in this game, in it's wonderful world with all it's characters.

well my hits seem to be doing nothing and she blocks almost all of them. I got the bomb and potion and still just destroys me...

just finished the warble of a smitten knight quest, where you
enter the tournament in someone else's place. such a niceguy(tm) quest.

For the boss fight people are talking about.

I found it rather easy, Igni to give a burn effect every time while dodging as fast as possible. I would put up two Yrden circles and one turret, dance, Igni, repeat. (Did take all of my Superior Swallow and White Rafford's Decoction though.)

What did y'all think of the (3/4 big enemy)
the thing the arena where you jump down to save the guy you saved earlier from the troll. Did your compatriot get knocked out like mine did. He was a really fun fight.

noooooooooooooooo, got the stupid loading screen bug while doing the main quest

i also i dont know if i messed up by doing a witcher contract before the main quest, thinking about because something the dude tells me. maybe is nothing

Been trying to get into this game again, and man, the controls are so insanely unresponsive, and the loading times ridiculously long. Ugh...

Is that the one
in the cellar of the vineyard?
Stab her when she starts to scream, block everything else.

Fuck yeah beat the second boss on Death March.

Moon Dust bomb helps a lot. Any other bomb may not be a bad idea either. Make sure she's actually open before throwing it though or you'll waste it. Yrden is decent and helps here. You can dodge most of her attacks with just the normal dodge, not the roll. Hell you can just spam it. Hit her when you can, even invisible. But don't be aggressive. I Whirled her to death once she got low. Could be risky but it worked for me.

The alternative movement mode under options -> gameplay makes Geralt feel a bit more responsive, in case you had it on regular before. Other than that, you're just gonna have to get used to it, unfortunately.

Auto downloaded for me. Check your settings.

It's set to auto download as the patch did, but for the expansion I actually had to go to extra downloads and check Blood & Wine expansion. This plus the size of the patches makes me sure I'll never get anything on GOG again.
I'm currently downloading at 300KB/s. Great!

Should have gone with Steam like I for the 2 other games.

Accomplished quite a lot today for preparing to tackle the main expansion. I've pimped my Vineyard with everything filled up besides paintings. Those I guess I'll have to find by myself.

Got three of the grandmaster sets. The other 2-3 I can't build without the schematics of the old ones, and lord knows I'm not about to travel the whole game, wasting hours and resources for armor I'm never going to wear.

As I think the euro gamer review mentioned, dyes are done tastefully. As in unfortunately you can't change much of the armor with it, there's specific points in the armor that change color with the dye. I'll eventually get the dyes I want.

If I play tomorrow I'll likely just tackle the main quest and keep doing that up until a point I feel it might be ending in a few missions. Then I'll focus on doing side mission and Witcher contracts.

Question for those further away. Previews of the game mentioned that friends would
come visit your Vineyard
. It specified as an example
yen and Triss
. Have you encountered this?

Curious if it's tied behind main dlc campaign progression
