I don't think it would even be allowed to appear on a Sony stage would it? Microsoft seem awfully determined to have the brand associated with Xbox after all, so I'm sure there's something in the contract they have with Square Enix that disallows them the opportunity to have the game advertised at a Sony presser. Could be wrong though.

There is no need for any thing in the contract. There is no way in hell Sony is selling Xbox One leftovers in their conference.

I've sat thru several spin offs and a move game I deserve a beautiful, ratchet and clank sized budget ape escape on ps4 let me dream dammit

What if...Kojima's working on a new AAA sci-fi Ape Escape???

You know he loves the franchise...:O :O :O :O

Hey now I just said that already

And PR-wise it would be a bad look for Sony to use its big conference to sell heated-up leftovers from the other guy.

That's my mentality as well, but others are bringing up the subject of a potential RotTR showing, so I was just commenting on the likelihood of that happening. No, I totally agree that it would make no sense to devote any stage time whatsoever to that game.

Haven't played that one, went into a direction that i didn't want FP to go.
Hell just port the Ps3 game over to the 4, include the DLC and the multiplayer will be revived again.

Do it Sony.

I'd be down for that. Fat Princess was awesome (as was Crash Commando...)

If Agent ever gets announced, he should be the one to present it. (Please, Rockstar North)

My guess is if RotTR shows up at Sony's conference it'll be as part of a sizzle reel. No way they devote actual stage time to it.

Of course, Sony is not giving any specific time to that game.
Square Enix will release a trailer with the release date and that's it.

So why the big interest in Agent? I'm just curious because it was just a logo announcement as some spy/espionage title and that it would be PS3 exclusive. Nothing ever seemed to be said or come from Rockstar since regarding it because they were busy with Red Dead and then moved on to Max Payne 3 and GTAV.

So like, are people generally interested in the premise or just because of it being a Rockstar Games title that we never got?

I will not say that you shouldn't try it BUT to me it's worse than TR13 story wise and it's mess balance wise among other big flaws. The gameplay mechanics work but that's about it "they work" - it's like playing a Mario clone - just because it jumps like Mario, it ain't Mario if you catch what I mean. Makes that new thread I'll avoid so fun but if I dive in I'll probably rustle some jimmies and I already left my impressions of that game in the PC OT.
---------------

Gopher D implies lots of things :)

You know who is awefully quit...Verendus...kinda odd given the activity of Gopher and DemonNite.

Verendus said a while back (like, post-e3) last year that we'd "gotten enough" info on future games. Probably accurate--go through his posts and there's still enough left over for E3 2018 at this rate.

Even if the longshots like Shadow Hearts don't materialize, there's still a lot of shit left. Go through it and make some guesses, lol.

And the # of people believing Sony will devote NO time to ROTTR is...odd, to me. Doesn't matter how old it is, it's still a game coming to their system this fall.

There's absolutely no fucking way Sony will use its conference to sell ROTR.

That's just common sense.

Seriously. Console leader advertising sloppy seconds. Fucking lol.

Way more stuff Sony can put into that slot instead.

Only way I could see Sony putting it in there is if se promises to show something off aswell.

I can only speak for me, but it was the fact that Rockstar, specifically Rockstar North, was creating a single player game in partnership with Sony. Knowing their pedigree when it comes to Grand Theft Auto, I was definitely interested. And seeing as it looks like that single player expansion for GTAV isn't coming out & they're focused only on expanding my multiplayer, I want it even more so now. So it's more than just a logo to me, it's the promise of a new game from one of the top studios in the industry.

Damn. Just realized I am going on vacation the week of e3. And I have been making it a point that we will only use technology for travel related purposes.
Oh well, will have a lot to catch up on when I get home.

Just give me GoW4 and Bend game, I dont think anything else (in first party terms) can surprise me this year. Last year was just crazy, from TLG to Horizon/Dreams. Its way too early for TLOU2 and whatever game Sucker Punch is working on.

I could see them giving it like two minutes if it had exclusive content and better graphics. Still kinda a waste, people want to see new games. I just hope we get good surprises like last year.

I don't see it at all regardless of exclusive contents. Only possible way is in a highlight montage with other upcoming games this year.

Sony would be stupid to show a year old game that already rub their fan base the wrong way.

I don't think Sucker Punch is that far off. 2017 would be three years after the Second Son release so an announcement this year wouldn't be surprising.

Besides Dead Don't Ride, Horizon, Dreams, Gran Turismo Sport, Gravity Rush 2, The Last Guardian & God of War, what else can we expect from 1st party, or is that pretty much it?

Sucker Punchs new Game and maybe that Sony Japan JRPG game, Verendus teased few years ago.

Dissidia Final Fantasy on the Sony conference, 2017 release window, awesome trailer also showing Noctis as playable.

What do you guys think about that?

I think Yoshida put that rumor to rest.

Oh yeah I remember that.

A lot of folks were saying, "Of course Shu wouldn't confirm it if it were in development." But Shu usually gives more vague and teaser responses and not definitive yes or nos; especially if something is happening and he doesn't want to talk about it. That fact that he just said no straight up has me fairly inclined to believe him.

I would still dig a AAA JRPG from Sony though.

A new IP from Rockstar North would be pretty damn exciting. I love the GTA games but I'd definitely like to see them develop something else. I don't see it ever happening though - I don't see Take 2 allowing them to make anything but GTA from now on.

What first party content does Sony have other than SSM and Bend to show off/announce? ND and SP don't count as they're too early in dev, especially ND.

This is what I said in the previous page:

If you're not counting Sucker Punch or whatever else Japan Studio may cook up, I think this is it.
