MS had a few surprises last year like Recore, but it's just never quite like how Sony handles these things. They had some real surprises last year and I wish MS would have a similar show. I mean we wait a full year for this show, always so much hype and what not, would be nice if it really delivers on hype this time too. Just want to see some really cool new exclusives on Xbox.

Then there's Red Dead 3, which could be announced during their show along with RDR BC. Unless it is at Sony or not during E3 at all.

360 BC on Windows 10 would make total sense. It will happen eventually I think. Especially with Windows 10 having Hyper-V built in. Shit, I didn't even think about that...and it would also help whenever they get OG Xbox on UWP. I really think I'm gonna make a UWP thread about the potential W10 has on Xbox. Second time I said that today. lololol

It's a great measure because it basically instantly introduces a ton of great games into the store that PC-only players might not have played before, while simultaneously easing the transition from Xbox to Win 10 for Xbox gamers. Assuming it's technically feasible, I've got to imagine it's en route, and so long as they don't fuck up the pricing, it'd be an amazing moment.

I would advise against that thread tho.

I know how the thread will get hijacked with the PC haters but I don't care. My interests lie in what we can do instead of can't. And it's not all UWP but also features that the console will get as well as the Xbox app. For example, MS Edge has Cortana in the browser that helps with browser specific things, and we know that Cortana is coming to Xbox, no reason to not believe that some of that integration will also come to the desktop like inviting friends. Discussion that can talk about the possibilities.

Damn I'm late, any room for 2 more :P

Arby and Chief ridin' the Scorpio :D

So... in an effort to break up the string of train posts that'll probably lead to the thread closure if left unchecked...

We know that MS has had something brewing in the strategy area for a while now, the revival of a "beloved strategy franchise." This most obviously points to Age of Empires; Age of Mythology, while certainly beloved, isn't really a franchise. Ditto Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, though I wouldn't be at all shocked to learn that one of those is somewhere down the road as well.

So, it's been a while, but assuming the rumors are true, Age of Empires is making its' triumphant return at E3. What are we expecting? A return to classic form and times? A continuation along the line of that legendarily trolling timeline in the AoE III CE? Or something completely different?

I'm thinking we're going to go waaaaay back to the original timeframe, the Classical era. Greeks, Romans, etc. Kings marks the series most popular point, true, but now's as good a time as any to get back to basics. As far as gameplay goes, I think they might actually lean into the series' vaguely builder-focused roots; there's not much point in trying to make an esport out of Age of Empires. Mythology seems a much better pick for that, having a smaller number of more diverse factions.
