I just want one game changing addition this gen - the removal of HM's have moves have secondary field abilities - its stupid you can CUT down a tree, but slash and blade moves tickle that tiny bush etc etc
let us not have to have HM slaves or be lumbered with keeping hm moves on our parties for christs sake

I was not expecting Solgaleo's typing at all, I'm actually kind of disappointed since this would've been a great opportunity to introduce Fire/Electric.

Also kinda weird to see Pokemon like Gengar and Salamence looking exactly the same as in XY/ORAS. With the jump between Gen IV and V you at least had different sprites to mix things up a bit, but I guess now we're using models multiple generations on the same handheld are going to look the same inside the battles.

That was the entire point of creating all those high quality models.
That manga thing was a failed spin-off with actual Human-Pokémon Fusion, not just Synchro.
They may have reused the stone design for Synchro though.

You know the Pokemon fanbase loves to ignore the obvious when they don't like it.

No it wasn't. The point was that they wouldn't need to make new ones when they moved to the more powerful successor of the 3DS.
Using the same models on the same hardware for two generations results in it being completely identical. On more powerful hardware they won't need to be compressed as much as will look better.
Thinking about it some more, I hope there's more to those signature moves than just "Mold Breaker in an attack". Steel and Ghost are pretty terrible types for it.

It's abundantly clear now(to me) that soaring will be a feature. Each of the islands have those rock barriers allowing for some surfing but doesn't seem like surfing between islands is a thing. Also that one picture of the map shows a few boats so I assume that means we could take a boat from island to island.
