I wonder if Rotom-D will be usable in battle.

I don't expect you to start the game with a fully usable Rotom, that'd be over powered, but I think mid game maybe it works up the courage or whatever to fight alongside you if you want (as Rotom-D, the Electric/Steel type).

I am quite interested in Rotom Pokédex form and opens a window for Rotom to join my Sun and Moon team.

Honestly I am a little disappointed by the trailer as I wanted to see new Pokémon and not be shown stuff that I already knew or suspected, though Solgaleo typing was a surprise which makes me suspect that maybe there's more to Solgaleo and Lunala.

There are certain parts of this that concern me a little, especially how it looks like there is going to be a lot of hand holding in the game and all the tall grass shown so far seems sparse and optionable. Seems very different from past games.

I don't mind them having those effects. It bugs me that they're wasting space on giving them new names though. Also the official website goes out of it's way to say that no Pokemon have these abilities and then they're just Clear Body and Multiscale.
