I can already feel we're going back to another region. I don't care if it's Johto or Kalos. This is what made gen 2 so amazing. Either way gen 2 or Kalos would get their environments remade!

So Sunsteel Strike... is it possible it's a dual type move like Flying Press? Both Fire and Steel?

What no having two region was the bane of gen 2 problem as Kanto was barren as fuck and Johto was heavily underdeveloped, plus the level curve was really bad.
I would be very disappointed if Sun and Moon had two region when the 4 islands seem pretty huge on their own.
Funny that they picked Gengar as the move's victim in the trailer, since it's weak to both.

I don't think so because Sunsteel Strike did neutral damage on Salamence. It could be possible, but I don't think it's likely.

It may only be a small part of Kalso we may go back too. I didn't feel like Johto was underdeveloped. It had more than Kanto from gen 1.
If it's a small section then that's fine but a whole region is just overkill
Compare to the other regions Johto's routes are much shorter and just feels compressed.
For example in Kanto the journey from first gym to the second gym was much longer than Johto as the Union cave was one floor and was super short to trek through compare to a huge cave like Mt Moon in Kanto.
Speaking of Team Flare and XY's problems, they really should've done something with Malva. I mean, she just casually goes "oh yeah I was part of Team Flare" and nothing came of it.
A member of the Elite Four was a member of the villain team and nothing important comes of it? Hell, I barely even realized she was the newscaster you keep seeing. That may mean she wasn't that high ranking (which is itself bizarre, you'd think an ELITE FOUR member would be a high ranking team member) but still, what a wasted opportunity.

Well GameFreak have made quite a few starters lately in which the second and third forms are very different, so the middle stages aren't completely indicative of the final stage.

Just because it was poorly implemented in a previous game, doesn't mean you can't improve on the original.
If another region had better level balance and better gym leader scaling, SM would be the best games ever made. But again, GF isn't going to put in 2 regions when they care too much about making sure a player plays the entire 20-hour journey.

That Rowlet final evolution is absolutely amazing I actually hope it turns out like this.
The other 2.... Litten Fire/Fighting makes me cry. Let alone being a trash design.

I was thinking about Marshadow and how having MARS being the third legend would just be so random, like you have the sun, the moon and the ea- MARS?
Then I remembered how Solgaleo was "the lion that devoured the sun" from alchemic folklore and i was like 'Wait... Mars is another symbol is alchemy!" So I rushed to look up alchemic symbols and...
Solgaleo's mark comparable to the symbol Sol, the deity of the metal Gold.
Lunala's 'eye' is surrounded by two crescents that are the symbol of Luna, the deity of Silver.
In addition, an obvious comparison can be made that the names of these deities are found in the names of the Legendaries.
Further support can be found in earlier discussion of Litten's design containing the symbol for Sulfur embedded in his design.
Also those final evos look ugly and thankfully fake.
I like the Mermaid Popplio design and love Archer Rowlet, but this looks crazy fake. Besides the website leak and Popplio's strongman posing, I'm convinced Popplio's going to be muscular when it evolves. Plus, as has been stated, Sugimori's concept art is far more simple than this.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the connection to alchemy!

I actually really like Litten's. That small drawing of it attacking Pikachu with a giant table is just <3. But of course these are fake.

I bet it's going to be them running around a random area with one of the starters and maybe one new pokemon. Then they can run into the grass and show off another. Thats about the most I expect I'd love if it were more.

I think we should all expect this to be the most we'll get too lol. My only hope for more is that Nintendo said day 1 of Treehouse is Zelda and Pokemon. Usually a Treehouse goes for 6 hours or so. Even if it's shorter like 4 hours I would hope Pokemon gets at least an hour and Zelda gets 3 hours.
They would be able to show a lot of Pokemon footage in an hour. Is Pokemon Go in that first hour as well?

Looks like Pokemon Sun/Moon will kick off Treehouse at 9 a.m. Pacific on June 14 and Pokemon go will be shown on June 15 (following day) at 10 a.m. Pacific.
So, maybe we could get a full hour of Pokemon S&M on day 1 then.

Can someone tell me what the point of Pokemon Go existing is? You fight Gym Leaders, Catch Wild Pokemon just like a full on legit Pokemon game but in a free to play model with only Gen 1 Pokemon. How is that exciting? Are any big PokeFans that are into and play the mainline games even excited for it? I know I'm not haha.
I guess it's just for the casual audience that just like Pokemon for the sake of it but don't play it but meh.

I really like this Poplio Evo so I kinda hope it's true. Although, given how other people reacted I think I might be one of the few that do.
Its totally going to be fake though...

Pokémon GO is a lot different to the main games.
You don't really fight Gym Leaders, you just face "gyms" which have had Pokémon put there by other people.
You catch wild Pokémon, but you don't battle them.
You can't battle other players.

So it's a stripped down and watered down Pokemon that lets you play safari zone style catching. Yea I probably won't play it then, don't think it's for me. Thread derail over haha
