I actually don't think either Sony or MS would even want RDR to be announced on their stage... because it would instantly be the biggest announcement from either show and would take the limelight away from their other titles/exclusives.

If it's going to be at E3 this year, it wouldn't surprise me if they announced it near the end of this week, and then they showed up at one of the main conferences to pimp it a bit more.

*shrug*

Sony's announced FFXV, KH3, FF7R, TLG, and Shenmue 3 on their stage in recent years. I think they're all about big announcements.

No? That game felt like an xbox game. I think it was that version that had exclusive stuff.

The game ran better on the 360 because Rockstar didn't have a handle of the engine on the PS3 at the time.

Solomon's Folly! That was it!

Heck they could do the same thing for the PS4 version and I guess that'd warrant Red Dead on Sony's stage.

I mean I remember Mad Max being announced at E3 during Sony's conference and even though the game took like 3 years after that to be released it just had some ornamental hoods for the car exclusive for PS4 but was still announced on Sony's stage. lol

I think if Red Dead was going to make an appearance at E3 it's only logical to assume that it would appear on the stage of the market leader.

So prediction time: it will get announced this week with the first trailer at Sony's conference.

Has this been discussed yet? edit: I just posted it quickly out of excitement but evidently it's related to the Neo. I can't see it though lol

I can see Agent showing up. When you think about it Agent was announced in 2009, probably before Rockstar wanted due to it being an exclusive that Sony want to tout. For all we know they could have realized they needed to put it on hold if they wanted to get GTA V out on PS3 and 360 which took like 4 years to develop. Maybe after V Rockstar North restarted development on Agent?

There's no way, with the kind of sales GTAV saw, any Rockstar game will ever be exclusive again. There's no money hat big enough to cover those millions and millions of potential sales.

Why would there be a separate listing for Neo? It's still just a PS4 and plays everything the PS4 plays and nothing more. Seems fake to me.

I guess that confirms that there is big enough upgrade so they don't label it as "PS4" like Slim/Super Slim and made it its own "PS4 Neo".
EDIT: Ah, it's probably fake then.

I was thinking the new issue of Game Informer this week would be Red Dead and kick off the announcement but I'm thinking GI is Watch Dogs 2 now and we'll have to wait for the conferences on Monday to see if Rockstar unveils anything. lol

GTA has a certain legacy to its name. aGENT does not... yet. And if he rumor was true, the game (aGENT) was commissioned by Sony. Hence why people believed that Rockstar owed Sony a game.

Even if it was ready to go in like October, is there any reason for Sony to release it then? I think they'd save it for April or May instead.
Yea that's my feeling too. They seem to want to stand clear of the fall when it comes to NEW IPs or first party games in general.

I don't get the fixation on the holiday lineup. It's the platform holders duty to make sure there are no software droughts and there are no software droughts near the holidays. Why release a first party game with a ton of competition when you can release it in a area with little competition that also prevents software droughts.

Man I got a long week at work ahead of me starting tomorrow until Saturday. So this thread and any news regarding E3 will keep me sane. Once I'm done with work for the week I have 4 days off to bask in E3 goodness.

It's like a love/hate thing the week before E3. Love it because we get news like we did today and throughout the week. Hate because a lot of the time for me at least. The week drags just a little bit more than usual.
