Has there been official word on how long the conference will run for? Or will it be as usual?
Hopefully a 2-hour behemoth, packed to the brim with exciting announcements.

Expect 90 minutes.

I'd prefer psvr over neo personally
I really have a hard time imagining Sony showcasing "neo" mode games at the press conference. we're not talking night and day differences with the neo here, sure things are going to look better but it's not stuff that is immediately obvious on a stage show or a stream.
what's going to suck is everyone pointing at every great looking game and claiming "welp thats the neo version of course"
for what it's worth I don't think neo will be at E3
I can't wait for angry nerds who don't like VR to be pissed off when they watch this conference on Monday.
I'm not interested in VR but you're right - for some reason, a lot of people in this thread think VR is going to be this little blip during the conference, which is funny to me.
I definitely think they need to have it there and to show enough for people to be convinced that it will be a supported and future-proof platform but VR just isnt something that can be portrayed in a good/real way through a stream. You need to try it for yourself to understand its appeal.
Sony E3 - 2am to 4am, Work - 6am to 4pm.
Gonna be brutal.
I expect them to announce VR games, but I don't expect them to have a bunch of people on stage demoing VR games. They just don't demo well.
Dreams 2.0.
a timed Rockstar exclusive? lmao
That's just as unlikely as a full exclusive. I'm certain the only thing we'll see from Rockstar is Red Dead (as a multiplatform game)
That's probably true but I think it's crazy to think that a large portion of the show won't be devoted to VR. Sony doesn't need to have a bunch of stage demos in order for PSVR to be a large focus on their presentation.
They will have a 10 minutes section with all the trailers of the upcoming VR games.
I wouldn't expect stage demos, they tried to do it at PSX and it was a disaster.
VR needs to be tried on the showfloor, at the conference it only makes sense to announce the games coming for it.
I really don't want to see Kratos angry again ripping apart Norse gods. Even if it's technically impressive, the horse has been beat so many times. If GOW wants to remain fresh like say Zelda, they need to mix it up again into an actual adventure game, and not just action with set pieces. Puzzles, good storytelling, characters we care about, variety in gameplay, etc...
I still think hype wise, E3 will be hard to top, but it's looking like another strong Sony conference is less than 4 days away.
Should be good...
Cmon, you're trying to bait the insiders, right?![]()
I swear R*, if you not showing at least 2 games at E3/Sony stage, I WILL CHANGE MY AVATAR
Wait where is the timed exclusive thing from Rockstar coming from?

As unlikely as FFVII Remake, Shenmue 3 and TLG in one and the same conference.
I would say Rockstar making an exclusive is even more unlikely than what happened last year actually.
No, really. The idea of Rockstar giving anybody an exclusive, timed or not is ridiculous.

Same time as Game 5 of the NBA finals. Will probably be another blowout anyway. Can't miss a minute of the presser. I was in tears over the Shenmue 3 announcement last year. I hope they provide an update with some gameplay footage this year. The kickstarter updates have been pretty sparse.
You can see the neogaf paradox at work : Some posters go to extreme lengths to scavenge every bit of information, rumors, speculations on a conference that takes place in 4 days time, only to complain later on that there was no surprise left...Well, stop digging!

Yes.You want to bet?![]()
Why would they make a deal?If they made a deal and they are honoring it is not ridiculous. This wouldn't be a moneyhat type situation.
Not really.
They had an exclusivity contract with Sony for three games during the PS2 days.
They gave Microsoft the timed exclusive of the GTA4 DLCs.
And they gave Sony the Agent exclusive although the game failed to materialize but the intention was there and the project existed at some point.
I'm not expecting it to happen but a timed exclusive is not something impossible based on Rockstar past history.
Yes.
Why would they make a deal?
Microsoft paid $50 million for the GTAIV expansions in 2008. I don't see Sony paying a price that would be much more than for a full game in 2016.

50 million dollars?WTF
I seem to remember someone on here mentioning that Microsoft actually got the money back long term somehow. Not just from their licence fees but it was basically an upfront loan of some sort but maybe I'm remembering wrong or they were wrong themselves.Microsoft paid $50 million for the GTAIV expansions in 2008. I don't see Sony paying a price that would be much more than that for a full game in 2016.

Eh, I think an exclusive Spiderman game that is of really high quality would be a nominee. That isn't something remotely expected and the IP is huge.I'm not sure a Spiderman game of any magnitude would qualify as Dreams 2.0. lol

Yea I heard that back in the day as well. But man that's a lot of money for two DLC's that eventually came to the PS3.
I'm expecting at least the order level of graphics at 1080p considering the fixed camera.
50 million dollars?WTF
$50 million for just a DLC? holy fuck.
