Am I the only one that's just not feeling the hype at all this year? I really don't know within the realm of possibility what Sony could announce that would get me hyped. I've never played a Red Dead nor a God of War, and the only VR game I'm remotely interested in is Ace Combat 7, but that game will probably be overlooked during the conference in favor of other stuff.

i think the new Sony Bend Game will be something really big (Dead Dont Ride)

Then there is also the Chance that Sony Japan will unveil their Bid Budget JRPG Game as an answer to Final Fantasy

PlayStation's not for you. Move on.

If not a demo then Sony needs to at least give GR2 some time for a trailer during the conference

Try God of War.

Aside from that, what type of games do you like?

Well, what do you like then?

Some of my favorite genres include Action/Adventure, Platformer, Action RPG, and Survival Horror. I would get pretty excited to see Resident Evil return to its roots as well as a new entry in the Devil May Cry Series.

Come to think of it, I would definitely like to see a live presentation of Persona 5 in addition to more Last Guardian and FF7R. Like I said before, Ace Combat 7 is perhaps my most anticipated game, and the announcement of a PS2 trilogy port would certainly get my hype erection going (as would a full remake of 5 ... hnnnnggg...).

Stuff I would like to see get announced I guess would include Naughty Dog's next game (probably not this year) and Kojima's project (again, probably not going to happen). I also saw the idea of a Sucker Punch Spiderman being tossed around a lot in this thread, and that would definitely get my attention (again though, probably not going to happen). Of course, then there are off-the-wall announcements that most definitely will not happen like a Final Fantasy 6 Remake (it would be nice, though!).

So I guess the reason I'm not hyped is simply because there aren't that many games in series or from devs I'm interested in that will likely get announced. On the other hand, I have realized there are a number of already-announced games that I would like to see more of, but I guess the predictability of everything is what's likely killing my hype more than anything.

Hey you're not alone, I'm right there with ya buddy.. Because I'm on a media blackout for like half of what Sony is going to show.

I'm just here for TLG's release date.

what if .. VR edition ?

You will fall to the ground in reality . Omg just imagining that gives me the chills

Toyama said his team is experimenting with PSVR right now, but it's not for GR2. He previously said early on in this generation that he's once again interested in making horror games and in particular a first person horror game.

So what is Verendus? I saw one of the mods a few days ago basically imply he was full of it/a worthless insider (something along the lines of "lol at people relying on V")

Some of the things he put forward were ridiculous (suikoden 6?) but some have actually come to fruition as he said (FFVII).

So what do we make of him? He hasn't appeared at all this year but to be fair there's probably not a great deal for him to reveal since his list the other year would probably cover the next 3 years of conferences if true.

I find him very entertaining but quite unreliable (in that you don't know if he's throwing real things in with some bullshit to keep things vague and ambiguous). He certainly doesn't seem as consistent as say, Shinobi, who is much more careful with his hints and teases.

If you're talking about Kagari, thats not what she said. She said "stop relying on Verendus", and really you shouldn't be relying on any insider.

I know, didnt believe back then, still dont believe it now.

And I do actually trust him for most things, but some things he said dont really make sense.

i do believe him because the Sony Japan RPG is a game that he talked about several times. unless some other hints/teases
Even last year, he mentioned that JRPG as one of his three most anticipated Games from the Sony Studios

I even pmed him after that yoshida statement and he told me that i don't need to worry

and this year is actually the first year where this Game has a realistic Chance to be announced based on Verendus Hints

You guys are right, but better to be safe and not believe until it's announced.

The Thing is, when Kitase said there is no FF7 Remake - people were making fun of Verendus and asking for his Ban. And in the end it happend

Same with Yakuza and even now with the Sony Japan RPG.

i believe him, but ofc everyone else is free to believe what they want and take all of that with a grain of salt

Okay, I definitely might have misinterpreted that post then, but it still comes off as if to suggest that we shouldn't believe everything he says.

I guess my main issue is that he purported to know things that you would expect no one individual would know unless they were incredibly high up (which is of course possible and often speculated, but seems rather unlikely at the same time).

But I'm not trying to throw shade at Verendus, he's one of the reasons I stick around this forum because his posts are amazing, and I certainly don't want to put words in Kagari's mouth.

He's an enigma and I guess it will always be fun to discus the veracity of his teases until he disappears or we know who he is.
