What's everyone most hyped game they wanna see? FH3 for me with Sea of Thieves a close second
Pretty much everything except halo wars 2, don't give a shit about RTS.

If I have to chose, I'll go with forza horizon 3 because forza horizon 2 was the best fucking racing game ever.

Then scalebound close second.

I didn't get that joke lol
Am I slow or out of context? :D

heres the timeline
you said "hey guys? how do I pronounce Forza?"
I said "Fort-za, PREGO"
People were like "Wait whos pregnant?"

the joke is now the equivalent of a dad dancing at a wedding

im so sorry

I'm going to add a wall of shame to the OP, you're taking spot 1.

At the end of the day, though, we've been manipulated to view watching commercials for what we like as though it is part of doing what we like. I mean, I'm going to watch, but it is absurd.

I love sports, but I mostly ignore the PR put out by the ownership of teams. I like movies, but I mostly ignore the PR put out by the industry.

One of the saddest aspects of nerd culture, from gaming to tv and film, is the propensity we have to obsess over watching pure PR in the firm of trailers and conventions.

Yes, it's PR, but it's not an apples to apples comparison. They are not just promoting products, it's a reveal of what's to come. I would compare it to a NFL signing day. It's PR, but it's also crucial information about what's to come.

for me its very much a celebration of the industry with advertisement as a side-effect, every reveal is like opening presents on christmas

Man, hang on a second - yes, E3 is PR, absolutely, but it is also MUCH more than that. Realize for a moment that E3 is, by all means, a vector point for our entertainment hobby of choice. Many of our reactions & excitement that we'll generate for certain titles will go on to influence the mainstream audience and inform them to some degree. So many different grass root movements where established from an E3 showing. Its why the industry still justifies spending so much money on establishing this over-the-top shows & taking development budget away to build these assets for trailers & demos.

Put in on the Train of shame PLZZZZZZZ

It wasnt my joke to begin with!!!

Agreed

Sweet thanks. I'm going to be smoking ribs that morning (in typical E3 tradition) so it makes timing everything much easier lol. ;)

Think about what you just wrote. First, grassroots? Springing from a multimillion dollar PR launch?

Second, the fact that you embrace just how much influence PR has, not only on yours, but the perception of the community in whole just means you are a well trained consumer.

That's not necessarily bad. But entering the E3 hype as though it is a cultural event, when it is completely designed to exploit the way nerd culture treats its pop culture icons with extreme reverence is kind of sad.

Like I said, I'm going to watch the EA and Microsoft pressers. But the path to idiocracy definitely includes this worship of PR.

The saddest part will be when the other shoe drops, and the discussion is about who "won" E3. I think a strong case can be made for E3 representing the very worst of gamer culture.

I don't think I've ever watched Microsoft's E3 press conference live. Always had work, school, some other commitment etc.

You guys must really like spicy stuff there. Sweet Chili Doritos or Flamin Hot Cheetos lol. I wish I lived closer to a MS Store though. Would be cool to visit and play with the new Surface Book and stuff.

It aint all spicy! Every taste palette is getting covered

Jeez you're taking E3 way too serious. Relax. It's all for fun. Half the time most of what we take in is depressing fucked up news so a day or two of getting hyped up and enjoying news of what's next for our hobby is exciting and refreshing.

I usually watch it at work with the sound off, and then have a live blog going alongside it. But I have to conduct interviews from 9:30am to 11:30am on Monday.

New controller?

It would go in line with what Brad Sams was talking about, for sure

Heres the source neatened

The heading is Amsterdam, maybe corresponds to the Xbone Slim Codename Edmonton? Ive got no idea what the Bob Dylan shit and extortion threats are, but also notice the filenames for different colours, templates for Electric Green, Midnight Blue, Ash Grey, Glacier Blue, Deep Pink, Regal Purple

Microsoft could be creating a custom controller service ala Moto Maker with the Xbone Slim, I dont know

Bwhaha! You pretentious wazzock. Go and write a book or something.

I want a laser engraved custom Elite controller

I just dread thinking about all the people who get one as a present from a family member

Nothing ruins the aesthetic more than a permanent laser engraving saying "Love You, From Grandma xxx"

Bruh it's "xoxo".

Of course there's no telling what Ms will do until they actually do, but the more I think the more I think they have to make Multiplayer online free and use the Gold sub to yet again be their main diffenriator.

- Get rid of the sub for Mp gaming on Xbox

And get rid of one of the few profitable things in the xbox division?

Are you serious? Ms have been stupid, but that would be borderline insane to drop the sub. You not forgetting just people subbed on Xbox one, but 360 also for gold.

Phil Spencer even if he wanted to wouldn't be able to do such a move. You not speaking a few million dollars. It's 100s of millions you losing each year.

You know, this seems very likely.

Sea of thieves is my most anticipated game. My group or of friends and I are always looking for a good online game to play. Our main is GTA online, followed by the division.

I know a lot of people like to crap all over the division, but it's so much fun with friends.

I skipped out on horizon 2 because I just wasn't sure if a racing game would be worth the money (not my favorite genre), but I might pick up 3.

I don't think you caught my drift.

i did i did :p

Well apparently SoT is gonna be Destiny/Division with boats sooo

--------

Just asked customer support about this Amsterdam controller (idiotically expecting them to spill the beans) and they said they dont know anything but they recommended waiting for E3

Did you read the whole post? I'm proposing what they can do to increase the number of subscribers, and use the sub to add new features to the platform.
