Wow they have a UK store!

was the wrong link. meant to link the incredibly inexpensive full auto conversion kit.

Though an ARFULLAUTO Kit could be quickly and easily modified to make fully-functional and complete parts that would make an AR-15 go full-auto, (about 30 seconds and a pair of pliers) this is not the purpose or intention of the kit, and making such modifications to the kit would likely be illegal in your jurisdiction.

The ARFULLAUTO Kit is provided for educational purposes ONLY!

Maybe, as a person that just watched The Insider again recently it reminds me of the cigarette companies. They just didn't lose cases. They spend you to death to the point you are bankrupt or lose on technicalities and scare away lawyers from taking on the cases.

I would imagine the gun companies would operate similarly.

I would be fine opening it up but I would be skeptical how it alone would be that effective.

I assume that is how most companies operate. When I used to work at Walmart many years ago, any slip and fall by a customer was an automatic $25k settlement. If the case goes to trial, Walmart's lawyers would drag it as long as they can until the customer ran out of money.

Nobody's saying that there aren't problems with Islam and homosexuality. But being a Muslim does not automatically make you go out and kill 50 gay people.

You know that Islam isn't some monolithic entity where every adherent believes the same thing, right?

Yet I see a certain pattern in this case

And the usual crowd will continue to shamelessly condemn any proposal for increased gun control. I hope the gaffers in that crowd know that they share responsibility for these tragedies. Truth is that politicians would change their stated views real quick if the people demanded it. Remember that the next time you use your moronic and purposefully obtuse "guns don't kill people" rhetoric. Your childish petulance is costing lives.

Why isn't this guy already dead? Where are the gun carrying people, that say this is why they need a gun for this exact situation?

Yeah you guys will never learn. Guns are bad stop selling them to everyone and anyone.
Yep...where are the good guys with guns ?
The gun nuts love using that as defense and then these incidents happen. Disgrace !

Sigh.

Because a hi-cap AR-15 was used to do this. That is why there is a discussion on gun control. We can do something very easily about this, we really cannot do too much about radicalism. What do you think we can do about fundamentalism and radicalism?
do you think we are supposed to do nothing?

i'm not saying guns aren't a problem but the MAIN problem here is radical islam isis.

Without a gun? Absolutely. Bomb in an enclosed space like that would've easily done just as much as damage, if not more.

The impetus for this was he had a will to kill those people due to who they are.

Aren't explosives illegal, though? While owning firearms is a protected right?

It might not require the most expertise to create a home-made bomb, but at least it's illegal. I don't think you can just run up and buy a bomb as easily you can, say a gun, and do this much damage.

What is your solution to toxic ideology?

Acknowledging the problem and naming it publicly and persistently would be start. Way too many public figures are not even doing that. Make this a hot topic to support those who want ideological reform and put pressure on those who don't or who see no problem.

/edit: For instance, let's loose patience with statements like this:

What pattern are you talking about? Yes a bunch of developing countries that are predominantly, Hindu, Muslim, or Christian that have laws against homosexuals...

This does not deal with religion. It deals with gun laws or people who should not have the right to buy guns in the first place.

RIP to all people who died.

If you are insulating to blame Islam. Then please see what Islam says about killing anyone. What we are taught and is stated that if you kill one person, its like you are killing the whole humanity/ human kind.

Anyone who spends a few minutes researching what the Qur'an and especially the Hadith have to say on the issue of homosexuality would not try to deflect all blame from the doctrine.

The sad thing about this is I'm seeing a lot of people online now saying that Trump is right and that we should ban Muslims from being in this country.

OK, let's put the maps side by side.

Countries where homosexuality is illegal:

I'm sure it's all a huge coincidence.

What pisses me off so bad about these tragedies is the lack of nuance from both sides.

Radicalized Islamism, Homophobia, and Gun Control are ALL at fault here.

It's not a pick and choose game.

For sure, but gun control is the one thing here we have control over by creating laws to ensure people like this can't legally obtain guns, and fucking bad assault rifles and large magazines. I do not understand how any rational human being be against that. Personally i'd want much stricter laws, but still.

Yes. Oklahoma City bombing.

Your mentality, arguments and logic are disgusting and one of the biggest things wrong with America.

It's so distantly related to this specific issue though. Most homophobes aren't murders, will not become murderers and don't condone murder.
how is it distantly related? he even bragged about "associating with terrorist groups" in the past
The perfect doesnt need to be the enemy of the good.

Not sure what the point of this post even is?
huh? pretty sure he was just saying the perpetrator didn't need a gun to commit murder.

Because like it or not, the 2nd amendment is the law of the land right now. You can't deny people their rights without due process. The terror watch list and no-fly list provide almost no oversight for remedying errors and lack due process. That is why it got defeated.
So obviously the GOP then proceeded to address the problems with the watch lists... right? Nope. They couldn't care less about that. It was just a convenient excuse to oppose any and all gun legislation.

Who's to say the shooter of today's tragedy didn't have the exact same thing at home?

Everyone is a responsible gun owner until they aren't. Say you were prone to depression or psychosis and you just got laid off or dumped by your girlfriend and you intend to harm someone, the mere fact that you have access to something that can instantly kill at range becomes a huge risk. Same with people that have fucked up ideologies, you can't say with a straight face that the United States is a country that is lacking on those. They might all be perfectly responsible gun owners until the day where they are pissed off enough to take matters in their own hands.

I acknowledge there is always a risk, and many guns used in crimes are obtained legally.

But a deranged person can get guns, as can an ideologue bent on terrorism. Look at France, plenty of gun restrictions, also lots of shootings lately.

We try to do our best to ensure our guns are never stolen or otherwise gotten ahold of to be used in atrocities, hence our investment in an expensive safe. I think if more regulations required stuff like that, while it wouldn't eliminate gun violence, it would reduce it.

do you think we are supposed to do nothing?

No, I'm saying what can we do. I'm asking you and those that say it is radicalism, etc. What would you have us do, because I'm not seeing a solution. I'm open to solutions as I'm sure the rest of the world is. We can quickly and swiftly do something about minimal gun control that could and would curb situations like this. We do not have the same solution for radicalism. What would you have us do?

Definitely not an STD, as I'm a pure.
Fucking hell dude ! I can't sit here and defend guns anymore. I'm sick of this shit ! This shit happened in my fucking state. I don't live near Orlando, but this still hits close to home.

Something needs to be done about homophobia in America. It's far too accepted. It's horrifying when a group of people are targeted like this. I feel/fear for homosexuals. The speeches we're going to hear from some people who practice certain religions and follow a specific party are going to be terrible. We have got to figure out how to accept others.

Will America finally wake up and start reforming their terrible gun control problems?

Or will people just stick their fingers in their ears again and pretend guns aren't the problem.

This is the GOP for you, only care about due process when it comes to securing a persons right to obtain weapons that can kill with as little inconvenience as possible. Other then that, authoritarianism policy practically rules the day.

The bottom line is that you should never be able to buy a gun and enough ammo to kill 50 people. Never. There is no situation in the world where you need that much ammunition to "protect yourself" or "go hunting".

By not regulating this shit, we are enabling it.

Say what you want about Trump, but at least he wants to address radical Islam.

So many people seem intent on just sweeping it under the rug and passing off blame elsewhere.

You know what it is truly screwed up and depressing?

That this has been so common now that I'm just USED to yet another story of a US mass shooting.
A resigned recognition of something the US just refuses to change.
Congratulations America, you've normalized shootings.

Yeah, those who are painting the GOP as the bad guy by voting that way are incredibly hypocritical in regards to this. Pure politics.

Man, this wording

Note: The kits are legal, as-sold, because only the materials necessary to create a fully-functional and completed TCGTR are included in the kit, and not the fully-functional and completed part, itself. Modification of the kit (using a pair of pliers and about 30 seconds) would be required to create a fully-functional and complete part, and we don't recommend doing so. The TCGTR can be fully-formed in a matter of seconds, by correctly bending the material, as detailed in the instructions, though actually doing so would likely result in a fully-functional and completed part which would be, for all intents and purposes, illegal to manufacture or possess in most jurisdictions.

Basically, "we don't recommend doing so because it is highly illegal, but if you buy our kit and follow our instructions you'll create a fully functional part"

Is it me or have the headlines changed from lgbt nightclub to a nightclub in Orlando ?

They don't want to say it was a nightclub for LGBT people. Prayers might stop being sent

Speaking of prayers, Mike Huckabee just tweeted his prayers. So. Yeah. Fuck this "prayer" bullshit. Call every single one of these politicians out, flip off the NRA while doing so, and never ever ever stop doing either.

Mhmm. And Trump himself is saying that this is a tragidty that can only be solved by making ourselves vigilant again, which definitely implies keeping muslims out more than gun control.

Gross gross gross.

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but the prayer comments come across as particularly condescending this time around considering that it was an LGBT club.

My dad is a lifelong hunter, and we also enjoy going to the range together. Our family owns mostly shotguns and a couple bolt action rifles for hunting, but yes, we do also have the dreaded AR 15.

Here's the thing- we keep all of those guns including the AR 15 in a 700 pound gun safe locked by a keypad that only he and I know the (long) code for.

Not to toot our own horn, but that is what responsible gun ownership means to us and I wish more took such precautions.

That is great to hear! I have the same exact situation. My guns are stored very very safe.

I think this guy who killed all those poor people.....Was gonna use whatever he could, to get the job done. If he did not have access to a gun. He might of made pipe bombs instead.

The point is, nothing was going to stop this nutter with a shit radical ideology that oppresses homosexuals, women and beliefs. This should be the real discussion. But neogaf cares more about taking away our guns, than the issue at hand here.
