Sony is stepping in with a $299 PS4 in the next couple of months.
Xbox One S needs to be no higher than $299 if it wants to compete in NA past its launch.

If it wants to keep its reputation of being more quiet than the PS4, than the power brick should be external. The smaller size doesn't tell me its internal either. The teardown of the OG Xbone showed there was a ton of space that could be saved.

If it is $449 it's because Microsoft wants that to be the ongoing price for a higher tier Xbox. So Scorpio would launch at that while the Slim would then drop to $299.
