GAF. He must be a fan!

I know it's GAP.

Unless Sony doesn't have their 4K slim this year? I could see alot HT enthusiasts buying XB1s if so.

"HT enthusiasts" "people who buy a console for media playback" "people who don't care to wait for another year to buy the superior model of said console" sounds like a rather small intersect on the venn diagram.

people really feel bad for a giant corporations announcement leaking?

If you worked hard to present something the next day but it leaks to the world how would you feel then? It's not about "oh poor big company" it's about those who worked hard to surprise their consumers

Still happy about the leaks

I think Microsoft and Phil will be okay

Hopefully this means the standard white controller will be sold standalone now. Been waiting since I got my Sunset Overdrive bundle.

Console looks decent, figured they would do a bigger design overhaul. Waiting for some Scorpio news before I decided whether/how to upgrade.

Because it'll probably be the cheapest 4K player. Same reason why PS3 was bought for bluray.

This has to be the most leaks I have seen before the show. Wow. Depending on when Scorpio releases, I might pick this up.

and PS2 was bought for DVD. Sure.

I don't doubt that there will be people buying the slim because of its supposed 4k bluray capabilities. But it's not gonna be as significant of a number as with the previous consoles.

Both, because Bluray -> Bluray 4K is not as much of a "generational jump", but also because optical media isn't quite as relevant anymore in the age of streaming.

HT enthusiasts are not going to be moving a significant amount of units.

worst size comparison I've ever seen, scale was estimated by bats or something...

Just look at the controller for comparison

I like it, if the price is right I may trade my OG Xbone in since the hard drive is full anyway.

So what's the sweet range price point for you guys??

I would get this at $399. Any higher and you're pushing it for me.

Hopefully it is as quiet as the OG XB1

That's really what is important for me as it sits on my AV shelf. Looks purdy though

Yeah, I doubt Sony pays AMD twice for two chip designs. Someone suggested bad Neo chips could be used for a PS4 slim. Not sure if that is viable though.

Even if they need to pay up for 2 designs the expense is always worth it the end, with the cost savings from being able to make a smaller, cooler console over the next 40M units sold. And they get to hit a lower price point they couldn't if they continue making the old model.
