I suppose I'll be taking advantage of whatever trade-in special GameStop has. Looks sweet and I'm glad I have a 4K tv now.
The slim Xbox One is a true testament to how good Sony are at manufacturing hardware. Can't believe PS4 is still slimmer.
Considering how fucking loud my PS4 is when playing Uncharted, I'd take an XBOX One sized PS4 that is as loud as the XB1 any day of the week. Its a weaker console and still bigger than the ps4. Its funny.
I still want one, but its odd.
Because almost all of those TV apps always suck assWhat's the point of 4K video streaming if every 4K TV has built-in apps anyway? Does it have UHD Blu Ray?
PS4's build quality can be improved and all that small size makes the fan noise much louder than my GTX 970 equipped PC.The slim Xbox One is a true testament to how good Sony are at manufacturing hardware. Can't believe PS4 is still slimmer.
What is streamlined about the controller?
Still not sure why people would buy this when Scorpio's coming next year.
The top plastic part is white instead of black. Streamlined. What is streamlined about the controller?
People keep repeating the noise complaint (which is valid) but that doesn't take away from Sony's HW capability. They could have solved the noise issue and still be smaller than the Xbox One S and that too without a shrink.PS4's build quality can be improved and all that small size makes the fan noise much louder than my GTX 970 PC.

That console looks crazy tiny compared to the original. Very nice. Hopefully the power supply isn't massive...
I hear you. If the XB1 S is louder than the XB1, then I would rather have the fatter version.Depends on whether they had to reduce the size of the cooling fan in the slimmer Xbox. A smaller fan would generally mean more noise, and if the power supply is indeed internal, it would now have to dissipate more heat than before.
The optical slot's not clear enough on the Xbones pic so I had to use the USB.

So can we now give Brad Sams a round of applause? He got the 40% figure right on the nose.
Lmfao wowXbox one S

But if it does indeed have a 4K blu ray drive that is a nice selling point.I was hoping for a version without optical drive to make it even smaller.
i think 2TB might mean that they will still try to price this high, but lets see tomorrow.
It's a testament to why my PS4 sounds like a jet turbine.
I'm sure Microsoft COULD decrease the size more but don't want to for heating reasons.

no one knows. speculation is maybe a mic for voice commands
So is Scorpio a whole new design as well?
Imagine how small and cool the PS4 would be if they did an external power supply like Microsoft.
Oh wow. Did not realize how slim the PS4 already is.
Dunno about smaller, but it would sure run cooler, and quiter. Reason why I hoped for an external brick on this new slim.Imagine how small and cool the PS4 would be if they did an external power supply like Microsoft.
it's cool that the PS4 is smaller and it does look quite nice but to be honest it's build quality leaves a lot to be desired, it feels quite cheap and let's not pretend it isn't loud as hell.
the xboner is huge but at least it feels like a nice premium piece of tech and it's nice and quiet
