RE7 multi + VR mode exclusive to PSVR sounds much more likely than RE7 being PS4 exclusive.
It's also the same strategy that other companies are using (Namco with Tekken 7 and Ace Combat 7).
RE2 remake could make more sense as a play it first on PS4 game considering its origins.
Now about Red Dead Redemption.....who knows.

PS4 exclusive for RE7 is still really fucking dumb.

We need to stop this console exclusivity bullshit on major marquee titles, DR4, RotTR, RE7, etc.

It clearly helps no one and the titles suffer or sell worse because of it.

RE7 is no where near a game that NEEDS console exclusivity just to get made.

I agree but capcom is being super cheap this gen .
If it does happen it's not like Sony have to cover the lost of a lot of sales .
Still i don't see it happening , maybe a VR part exclusive .

Yeah how'd that work for SFV

Also, I don't see how anyone could ever see RE7 being PS4 exclusive as a good thing.

The name alone sells enough to be made without funding from Sony.

Yeah Capcom can't fund it's biggest franchise. Uh huh.

No need for a pre-emptive strike. We'll know if it's true tomorrow or not.

I mean I would have thought the same for SFV as well but apparently they needed help. If it's helping the financial burden I can see capcom doing this for Sony or MS. They seem to be in a weird position where they don't know what the fuck they want to do

Things are getting interesting. :D

people said the same thing for street fighter v too, but street fighter's problems weren't singular, were they? rushed development and lack of content obviously being some main problems, that isn't to say that limited audience wasn't also a problem

but being exclusive didn't hurt dr3, now did it ?

no one reasonable that doesn't have an extreme bias says these exclusive games are a good thing, however it is quite clear that capcom wouldn't be making much of anything soon if they didn't have partners monetarily vouching for them; it's just business

If Capcom can't get their pillar franchise off the ground, then what have they even been doing with their money? Exclusive is bollocks, RE hasn't been exclusive in a long time. Incredible, if Sony wrote them a cheque

There are spending all there money on mobile and losing it .

nah they fund monster hunter with no issues

I don't see how you can look at the state of SFV (where people made the same arguments now being made for RE7) and think Capcom is in a good place

All they have is literally Monster Hunter. Capcom is broke.

I mean, I'm not trying to already have a meltdown but...

It's pretty friggin' sad that nowadays I watch E3 pressers on the edge of my seat just waiting for somebody to get screwed over with 1 year exclusive content, 1 month exclusive DLC, exclusive 3rd party games from formerly MP franchises.

Every year like clock work lol

There are reasons why SFV didn't perform as expected on PS4, but I don't see why console exclusivity was one of it.

What I don't get is why Sony is so heavy into 3rd party exclusives these days. Most franchises sell much better on their console anyhow and looking at their portfolio, they are still the only ones who are at eye level with Nintendo when it comes to 1st party support.
