That was a really bad showing by microsoft.
As far as I'm concerned, microsoft is still not able to crawl out of the hole they put themselves in when they first released the xbox one.
It just all seems like they are trying to move on from the xbone and focus our attention somewhere else. Very very bad outing by microsoft.

So, tallies so far:
EA: 2/10 - common step it up
Bethesda: 7/10 - Very decent presentation. Some neat reveals and they did surprisingly well considering the lack of megatons
Microsoft: 6/10 - Slightly uneven at points but overall well done. Nothing I really liked but for the fans of what they revealed it should have been pretty nice. Scorpio was announced too early for what it is.

last few things shown were hard to watch pretty boring, then they revealed Scorpio and all was forgiven. Now for the price tag?

This honestly felt like, "screw the Xbox, all of the games are on PC anyways" the conference for me. I've no reason to buy one, even with the scorpio.

Scorpio made the Slim obsolete less than 10 minutes after it was announced.
Not sure if that's a good idea since the Scorpio ain't coming out for another 18 months.
I guess the good news is that the backward compatibility is there, in case you do jump on the Slim for a few months and trade up?

Sony must be scrambling to re-edit their presentation. I bet they didn't expect MS to announce Scorpio, especially after Sony said Neo wouldn't be at their show.

First E3 conference where no previously announced / leaked games were announced? Very disappointed.
Xbox Scorpio could be good for people who can't afford / don't want to invest in a decent PC, but unless you've got a 4K TV there isn't much reason to upgrade till VR gets better games.
But man, not one big new game? Sony just have to show up to "win" this year.

I must be out of the loop because I thought those games looked great. Sea of Thieves put a smile on my face. FH3 looked like a ton of fun. That cinematic trailer for Halo Wars 2 was stunning. And I can download the beta Now? Some of those ID@Xbox games looked great.

Very solid conference, though Scorpio stuff is still feels to rushed to announce, Sony can easily up specs of Neo and push it earlier.

Sea of Thieves was the highlight for me. Happy Few seems like a Bioshock clone and I'm not the biggest Bioshock fan.
This is a weird year for MS. Was doing Xbox S even worth it if the next console is arrives next year? I was interested in the S at first, but not any more.
I gotta go 6/10 on this as well. I'm down for Forza Horizon 3 and Sea of Thieves. The rest is not for me.

Might finally get an X1. Scorpio looks cool and finally enough games to justify it.

They have no reason to worry at the moment. They're still selling the current PS4 as is. No need for them to start confusing people with more SKUs

If we are really talking about true 4K gaming, NATIVE, not upscaled, than I'm in.
If we're talking about a 2005 style 'it's true HD!' thing where we only ended up with upscaled to HD games for a good chunk of time and the majority of the generation, which I'm thinking we will, it's really a bit of a disappointment.
Overall, 7/10 conference. We Happy Few, Sea of Thieves and Gears were highlights for me.

Still the best part of the conf was the custom controllers.
Who the hell buys a XboneS now?
Never seen a case where you announce two new HW with one so obviously not worth getting over the other.
And even at 6TF PCs will kick it in the balls.
Ill just take one of those controllers for my PC please.

Honestly, I think so. The leaks really hurt MS. And I honestly think announcing Scorpio coming out next year AND Microsoft's Play Anywhere, people are going to ask "why should I buy an Xbox One, then?"

I'm really amazed that they did it...opened the show with Xbox One S and ended it with Scorpio. This is extremely risky and I expect the sales for the One to even drop more now.

Not sure how to think of this conference. On the surface is was good - lots of gameplay video, lots of 'stuff', teaser of next gen machine. Thinking about what was presented though and it's less exciting, at least to me. A big part of it is that everything was on Windows (although they have a garbage track record with that focus), so why would I buy an XBox or care about Scorpio? Scorpio is a year and a half away, and that whole reveal was basically buzzword bingo.
Scalebound was a letdown, Sea of Thieves looked interesting but probably won't be my cup of tea, nothing else stuck with me.

Console wars are silly. But MS did not show anything Sony should be worried about in my opinion. And with Scorpio all they did was essentially say that it is coming in Holiday 2017, nothing else. Which should also cannibalize Xbox One sales.
