Well that was pretty weak. Dead Rising looked cool though, seems like a game i'd have a lot of fun with. Same with We Happy Few.

The MS Conference: Fantastic pacing, mostly meh games, zero megatons, teased Scorpio.

C+

I can't imagine Sony not steamrolling tonight.

MS had a good conference. Gears and Scalebound look pretty great to me. We Happy Few, as well. Sea of Thieves looks interesting, but man, what an annoying way to showcase it. Announcing Scorpio is a curious decision, too, because I've been wanting to pick up an Xbox One for a while, and now I feel compelled to wait.

Now bring on the big guns, Sony.

Great conference from Microsoft as usual. Too bad I knew everything so I didn't feel very invested. The highlight for me was Sea of Thieves despite the nonsense commentary.

Microsoft had a good conference this time.

Started with Xbox One S, ended with Project Scorpio being announced (6 TFLOPs, 4K gaming resolution, VR) for holiday 2017.

What will Sony do to counter this at their press conference later?

Decent conference from MS but most of these things were known and it lacked a WOW factor.

Scorpio news is interesting but launching next holiday and announcing so soon I wonder what effect it'll have on current sales.

Dear Sony,

To be fair. MS is showing games. It's games we all know about, but they are showing games. This conference lacks and "WOW" factor though.

I think the main problem is for people who were hoping for new things from MS.

Aside from a few oddities (generally indies, but FF XV and Tekken 7 were welcomed additions), it was all Forza, Halo, Gears, KI, and also doubling down on Zombies (DR4 & State of Decay) as well as Sports.

Now, as a PC/ PS4 player, I found the presentation very interesting as in it gives me access to all the new MS 1st party titles with the new Play Anywhere, but I could see where even beyond the leak it wasn't a very "Hype" presser, beyond the MS core fan group (which the presser seemed tailored for).

The Scorpio could have been a big one, but too many buzz words and releasing a year and a half from now is just really weird. Sony will have plenty of time to augment its domination between PSVR, PS4 Neo and whatever they may have in store for fall 2017/ 2018.
The Slim Xbox One S could also have had the potential of being well received (at leat in the US - where I'm sure it will have a bump anyway), but the pricing is weird.

The current XB1 price is $299. Here is the Slim pricing accoding to Verge

Available in August from $299 for 500GB, $349 for 1TB and $399 for 2TB versions.

Not much of a splash, unless you value the Blu Ray UHD player it seems.

Hopefully Sony announces more exclusives, because MS had only like 1 new game (SoD2)

Hope they would announce Neo as well though, kudos for MS for doing that, no bait and switch at the last moment.

New games?

What I want to see from this conference is something lean - do not give me endless footage of people talking, or presenters talking shit with their PR babble.

Just show me new games and I'll be happy.

Does Sony have a red folder to go with better hardware specs or do you think they're locked in at this point?

Sony could possibly push back the Neo to upgrade it's specs. One of the reasons I really think they decided not to announce the Neo this E3 was so they wouldn't be locked into delivering it at a certain time frame. They could easily release it fall next year as well with better specs if they wanted to surely.

That leak destroyed them....can't believe they let this happen again and even worse than last time.

Pretty meh conference imho. Nothing special and ReCore + Scalebound disappointed (looks terrible). Only the Scorpio announcement was nice, because the specs are damn good for a console. 5/10

The rumours are, NEO is 4.5 Teraflops and they're releasing it this year.
So if both rumours are true, I think NEO would be locked to 4.5 Teraflops, because they should already having manufacturing line or what ever its called.
They wouldn't be able to change all that if they're releasing it this year.

What if Sony decided to reveal PS4 Project Neo tonight with the same specs as Project Scorpio and is releasing on Mar. 2017?

Well as long as Sony doesn't go on stage and stomp puppies they should come out on top in terms of E3 2016 conferences.

Help us Sony, you're our only hope.
