The presentation and pacing of the conference was pretty good. Unfortunately, very little of the content was interesting to me. The only thing that REALLY got my attention in a positive way was We Happy Few, which is also heading to Steam (Early Access). I can't believe I haven't heard of that game until now.
FFXV's Titan demo wasn't very interesting, but that's OK...I'd already seen enough of the game to sell me on it. (preordered the deluxe edition for PS4 a couple of months ago).
ReCore looked rough...but even if it looked polished, it still looks underwhelming. I have a feeling that game's going to get mediocre-to-bad reviews and sell poorly.
Scalebound...just ugh. It's even worse than what we've seen in the past. The main character is aggravating with all his stupid little quips. I wouldn't mind the MC talking from time to time if he was actually interesting and had good lines, but Scalebound's main character seems uninspired. I can respect Platinum trying their hand at a different genre from what they normally do...but I suspect this game will be a disappointment for many.
With MS announcing Scorpio this early, it'll be interesting to see how Xbox One sales fare between now and holiday 2017. I can see both pros and cons to announcing it now.
