😍 We're so close!

Uhh yeah, hunting is definitely not going to be in. There's no need. Link gets its energy from hearts, potions and stuff. Not meat. And I doubt there's going to be any skin trading or anything.

They might be getting inspiration from western games, but that's something that will definitely not be in.

However, I'm talking about traditional hunting. This Zelda will probably still have bug collecting again like SS. And fishing is a form of hunting too. But notice how they are passive forms. Yeah, the bugs you get will get killed and dissected, and the fish will die too. So if there's a way to "collect" animals, it won't be you piercing an arrow through their hearts or anything.

Yep, I hear ya. I don't care for the fishing so I don't do it when it's not part of the main story. The bugs, I guess the cognitive dissonance of it is lessened because I sometimes have to kill bugs IRL also. Bugs and fish I'm ok with. But bear in mind when my wife and I thought Skyward wanted you to purposely hurt the Remit as the only way to move forward in the game, we stopped playing it and only tried it again maybe 2.5 years later. I think that Piece of Heart in Twilight Princess requiring you to eviscerate the boar is not befitting Zelda.

I mainly from E3 otherwise have just wanted to know if hunting is in or not. If it is, I may skip the game as that would be a huge turn-off for me. I never would have thought it a possibility, but others have speculated about it and now I'm wondering (and hoping it's not).

As someone who used to do quite a bit of hunting, I have no idea why you city folk are so averse to it. Plus this is a series that will have you kill hundreds of living things and take their loot.

It's hard to explain or even defend, especially since we dropped veganism and vegetarianism, as a meat eater. Hmm. I don't know how to put it other than it creates cognitive dissonance for me.

Actually I'd love to lay back and do some racing, but here I'm instead on the 4093rd line of code for tonight. And I have ~50% more for tomorrow. And then on to appease the unittest. This before considering Nintendo fans have kids to attend to ; )

I meant in regards to E3, silly.

Try explaining that to OT GAF who vilify those who hunt then turn around and talk about eating meat from a factory farmed animal.

Every time I see that a part of me still wishes this game was about Link coming back to Hyrule a few years post MM journey after finally finding Navi. Fuck the timeline and TP with that Hero's Shade bullshit. Give me Ganonjora taking over Hyrule. /end super shitty fanfiction crap.

Really though I just hope they have an interesting scenario and they don't attempt to hide who the villain is or the conflict. Open world makes it so a real invasion and active enemy presence could be interesting.

Have a feeling though with the whole Technology vs Fantasy theme we might be in for another hidden villain. At least for a while in the game.

Just Dance 2017 first 3rd party NX title just confirmed on Ubi Conf.

Could other titles in stream be announced?? Can 3rd parties now announce their titles? Ahhhhh

My guess no (Hopefully I'm dead wrong).

Those dance games are almost always released on Nintendo consoles. I would rather hear if other titles are coming, like Watch Dog 2.

But do expect Ubi to be working on an exclusive title for the system, one which will not be announced at this E3.

They've started updating the press site. Nothing up so far that's not behind a 302 Found, but I'll keep an eye out.

Oh, you mean those few gaffers who actually have some business to do in relation to/at E3? Nope, not one of those either.

Again no. I mean that Nintendo fans looking for E3-related news more or less have to just sit around and wait through the rest of the day for tomorrow.

Freaking really?

What, seriously? Like for real? Geez.

Hold the phone, WTF is wrong with people.

ugh..... i hate people sometimes.

whoa this got picked up on late. yeah, so after reggie was politely but hurriedly moving into the hall, this one guy approached one a woman wearing a nintendo-branded sweater and asked if she worked at nintendo. and then he kinda of launched into this inquiry of why the decisions were made related to censorship in games and if she had any comment about how nintendo censors games. she told him she worked in event planning and his question was more of a logistics thing. he said okay and went along while she turned to her coworker basically going 'the fuck was that'

This E3 has been so boring that with just Zelda and Pokemon Nintendo has the same amount of interesting titles per conference as everyone else.

They're doing an interview? That should be a good watch. The last one I remember seeing a few years back had a few questions about ports and third party support for the Wii U.
It's not confirmed but Keighley IS going to have Nintendo and a special guest at that time and Reggie is special so I did the math.

What censorship in Nintendo games would he be talking about?

Honestly at this rate Nintendo's only Zelda show might be the best thing, unless Sony totally kills it tonight.

Frankly, Sony might have some stuff, but I'm expected quite bit of repeat material with a big Indie section and 1 or 2 really interesting things that aren't seen as Indie.

That being said, it's Sony and they pull could anything after last year.

I see nothing on my end unless I'm stupid and suppose to be at a different site rather than the usual press site Nintendo has year-round.

The subdomain /E32016 returns a 302 Found now, yesterday it returned a 404.

Hmm, where does this tech vs fantasy info come from?

I thought for a moment that their stream was tonight. Disappointed. Oh well, something to look forward to tomorrow then. I haven't been able to catch any of today's E3 stuff anyway.

Honestly, I would keep my expectations for third party support on NX fairly low. It's not really so much an issue of hardware power development-friendly hardware, but much more to do with the Nintendo audience's history of just not buying much AAA and mid-tier third party games on any previous Nintendo home console. Third parties hesitate to support platforms that aren't likely viable to their respective business, so you can't really blame most third parties that make these major, ultra-violent titles that based on marketing research, will likely mean they wouldn't sell well on Nintendo home consoles, and i most cases, it has been true.

That was one of the rumors from Gamexplains video where they also said they heard there were 4 big dungeons and 100+ mini dungeons. Also weather effects.

But really the idea that technology vs fantasy would be a part of the game is pretty self evident from the reveal trailer and that roboty enemy, Link's holographic looking arrow and digital looking tomb on his belt.

GameXplain video, rumors start around here until around like 24 minutes in.

It's not really so much an issue of hardware power development-friendly hardware, but much more to do with the Nintendo audience's history of just not buying much AAA and mid-tier third party games on any previous Nintendo home console. The lack of a target audience and how Nintendo mainly focuses its marketing of its hardware and 1st party software is aimed primarily at kids and families which reflects no the family-friendly image Nintendo is as a company. It's why games like Eternal Darkness, Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade and Xenoblade X didn't sell that well on Nintendo cnosoles as far as Nintendo developed and/or published IP go. Quite frankly, even with limited marketing issues, I'm willing to bet Xbox Scorpio and PS Neo will receive more and better third party titles that sell better than what NX will ended up with.

kinda assume anyone paying attention for the last decade and a half will be thinking this too, yeah...hyped, bur going in simply hoping for slightly more 3rd party love than what little we got with the WU...i'd be happy with GC levels, honestly
