Ugh the entire Ubi conference leaked too. I hope the Sony one doesnt. But if Zhuge has access to it I bet other people do too? Damn it.

Dude, not everyone care about VR. Beside, people could play it on PC regardless. As for Sony, the vanilla ps4 runs pretty well despite the CPU. Just because the console becomes more powerful doesn't mean that third party devs will take advantage of it.
 
I lost all respect for Colin Moriarty... He is praising Scorpio, saying Sony has no chance to top MS show, yet he has been shitting on NEO for a long time saying it was a bad move and a slap in the face to gamers....MS never showed a single new ip, was the same games as last year, and a console that won't exist for 1.5 years. How come his argument doesn;t apply to Scorpio?

No, but the 10-15 million that switched 360 to Ps4 on day 1 (early adopters) main driver was 1080p and better frame rates. It was not exclusives as we were 360 players !

If Scorpio is $ 600 and is those specs, it will sell well in UK and USA and MS will be happy with their high end console / PC customers.

Oh, I'm hyped for that too. More than XV which looks awful lol.

It isn't a problem of the games themselves but the total lack of breadth and variety and freshness. Like Microsofts presser on paper just sounds so by the numbers and dull, with Sea of Thieves and recore being the only bright spots. I hope Sony shows more life than that.

I never understood why he was put on a pedestal. He seems like a koo enough guy, but not some bastion of infallibility

Wat ? I have a 55 inch Sony 905 on the wall and a 55 inch 4K Pany 802 on the same wall next to it with 2 x Ps4 (games room). UK, USA and probably Germany markets will be swayed by Performance in games imo.

My Ps4 struggles with games like Bloodborne, Witcher 3, Just Cause 3. I am tired of 30 FPS, runs like shit. No, I dont want to game on PC, I want a GOOD console.

Have any proof all those people switched because of power? The $100 prove was a bigger factor along with MS not havign a year on the market itself. You over estimate what effect power had.
 
Sony has a very easy job seeing that all the conferences so far have been mediocre.

Yea he's shown he can be a hypocrite and he's still off the hype of new hardware being released. What you said alone shows that he is.

Also don't forget the botched messaging and the controversy surrounding DRM for Xbox 1 that likely hurt sales as well. Microsoft is still reeling from that.

Not even close, the main reasons that they switched was the policies that MS tried to implement. That was a slap in the face to the entire fanbase.

I understand that using personal experience to inform opinions is really easy and natural, but it doesn't suggest a trend unless you have some actual data to back it up. If most casual gamers always wanted the more powerful system, then the last several generations would have ended up completely different.

Power isn't important - games are. Microsoft showed us nothing about Scorpio. No games, no actual console, no release date, no price. Nothing.

So at this point anybody getting excited about it or thinking Sony is threatened should really tone it back a bit. The Scorpio doesn't actually exist at this point, and there's no logic in thinking a piece of tech coming out 18 months from now is in any way a strategic concern TODAY.

Nah, everybody I knew switched the second Ghosts was 720p on the bone. GAF went crazy when that leaked.

MS reversed policies before release, if it had run games better who knows...You or I do not, just guessing.

Colin does that very weird thing at times where he is clearly in favor of PS but he thinks they are completely "losing" or falling behind MS for whatever reason. I think he does it to appear as objective as possible.
