Just finished watching. What an amazing conference. Honestly the best i've ever seen in E3 including Sony's last year. Really fantastic pacing. Games games and more games with little talk, it's actually overwhelming hahah. What people exactly want from an E3 conference.

I'm so close to buying an Xbox One and Scalebound is exclusive so I have too if I want to play it or buy Scorpio :/ Amazing. Truly amazing.

10/10

Didn't catch the whole conference but caught up with most of the games they've shown but can't say I'm impressed. The Slim looks great. Much improvement over the original but the line up of exclusives yet again is simply doing very little for me. They new IPs look rough and unready. Definitely not great looking titles. And their staple franchises I'm simply tired of/don't care for.

So in all this conference did not convince me. The hardware seems nice but the line up on show here doesn't have me reaching for my wallet even slightly. In fact the opposite.

Well yeah, but i bet that they'll just buy the slim over the scorpio since its cheaper, also... do you guys think that they'll do even crazier sells on the XBO's that are currently sitting in stores to make way for the slim?, or will they just send them back?... how does that work?
I'm willing to bet so, yeah. Just the same as most people would prefer to buy a 1070 over the 1080ti(when it's available next year or whatever). But it's also hard to say since Neo and Scorpios big selling points are being VR ready. Which who knows if that's going to take off or not. Hard to tell at this point. I would say the Slim is the safe bet for parents now at least.

To my knowledge, base units go on sale once the Slim units arrive. Especially if they're the same price. BUT, the base models do include games. The Slim probably won't at first in order to clear out the old units.

I'm only half way through this but aside from that Final Fantasy XV demo it has been flawless. I massively hate Windows 10 store but I can't say no to Horizon 3.

Gears was OK - VA almost killed it but the weather effects balance out.
Ori was nice.
Recore looks interesting.
Sea of Thieves is a downer
Scalebound continues to be a downer.
Xbox Slim was expected.
Scorpio - not much really. Just MS saying HI - we too™
DR4 - alright...never been into but it's a good line up filler.
Horizon 3 - expected, always nice.
Halo Wars 2 - meh.
State of Decay 2 - Nice.

OK conference. Lacked megatons of proper tonnage aka Scorpio announcement being so barebones. No new KILLER™ exclusive.

Microsoft won.
Microsoft are the good guys.
Install Windows 10 now.

The show was solid, but I kind of feel MS is gearing up the PC front for a quick transition if they can't recover this gen with the new Slim and Scorpio systems.

I'd give the conference a 9/10, point docked for no Crackdown 3. Every exclusive they showed, I'd buy and the Scorpio announcement was the icing on the cake. Some say it will cannibalise X1 sales, but they'll definitely sell a lot of Scorpio's with what they're touting.

I don't remember Ori being in the conference.

I feel much better about the conference now than I did before a couple hours ago. A lot of dull moments and bad demos, but overall a solid 8/10.

Scorpio almost made it better than last year, but not quite the 9/10 as last year.

Honestly though, that Scoprio hype...

I want more Xbox stuff, now.

Hoping Gamescom is like E3 part 2 like last year.

Didn't get to watch the conference. Will catch up when I get home. Checked the thread intermittently ovet the last six hours, lots of conflicting opinions lol. Is there a summary thread?

yeah, same here but some people love to be hyped for games that are so far down the pipeline... it's weird.
why not both?? Lol
Nothing weird about it. E3 is about hyping up your product. Future games do that as well as things coming close. And it's likely a bunch of people during this time checking out the competition, and are just stating how they didn't see much reasons to jump ship.

People already with an Xbox, I can see them liking it, but outside looking in, it was kinda forgettable.

I like what I saw from ReCore, gameplay looks fun. Horizon 3 looks awesome and I'm not even a big racing fan. Interested in the Scorpio as well.

Just watching this now. God, I hate E3 crowds. If these are insiders, get them out. They ruin these presentations because they behave as though they're bombed out on phenobarbital.

Also, lttp but, it looks like any steering wheel will work with your PC for FH3?

That was largely ok but once again they didn't show anything that made me want to buy an XB1 (Crackdown would have done it... Oh well). And just as I was considering getting an XB1S anyway they announce Scorpio and kill that idea.
C+, B- if I'm being generous.

I missed the conference, is it worth watching or not?
Not really, bad presentations and predictable stuff. I think you'll be better off watching individual game reveals from the show, and you can fast forward to the end about Scropio.

Forza looked really good...

Microsoft was an 8/10 show for me. I'm honestly reminded of Sony coming out of their dark years after the PS3 launched. They've done a complete 180.

Very impressive conference, Phil Spencer continues to do a phenomenal job. This overall will be extremely difficult to beat, but I am really looking forward to Sony's too.

Structure wise it was a solid conference. A few too many third parties though. It suck because had Recore or scalebound had amazing demos it would've been an even better conference. But that's more on the games than the conference set up

Solid conference. I didn't get to watch it all being at work. The XB1 S was tempting until I saw most of the games will be on PC (even though it's only MS Store..argh)

I am finally getting to watch this. I guess it's nice to be able to fast-forward through the many boring segments. Just jotting down random thoughts while watching for fun:

  • The Xbox One Slim looks fucking awesome. And the fact that there's a $299 version is surprising.
  • Gears looks so dumb. The voice acting is horrid and the animation looks so stiff. I just don't get the appeal of this IP.
  • Forza, don't care. FFXV, ok I guess I'll watch. Yep, that was FFXV.
  • Cross-buy between xbox and PC? Fuck yeah. Nice.
  • Looking for Group sounds like the coolest MP-related system-integrated feature ever
  • Minecraft cross-play. I guess that's cool for people who don't play the java version for mods.
  • John Carmack? Well, hi there! Nice to see yo...oh you're leaving? Have a good one!
  • Colored controller parts. Neat. I've been buying crappy Chinese knock offs for a while so an official option is cool to see.
  • Too tired to concentrate on the montages, but I saw Stardew Valley in there. I hope it comes to other consoles too.
  • Another card game. Fighting to stay awake. Just like most people who try to play The Witcher.
  • Fighting game. Better get some coffee.
  • Scalebound. I feel so indifferent that I can't even muster up an opinion
  • Sea of Thieves! Damn I want this game. It looks sooo good. It looks so damn good that the cheesy presentation where people pretended to be having fun playing it couldn't take away from how awesome the game looked. GIVE THIS TO ME
  • Halo Wars. I'm sure this is cool to someone. Looks decent. Just not for me.
  • Scorpio. I've come around to the idea of iterative consoles a little bit. I just don't know how to hear about teraflops and imagine what that means for performance.

Decent conference. I probably would've watched more intently if I could have seen it live but that's the problem with having a job.

I thought this conference was pretty bad - no surprises and most of the games that were shown didn't interest me. The best thing from the conference was the reveal of the Slim, and that was leaked a while ago. The system looks really nice (like a more modern looking PS2!) and I think the customizable controller program is a good idea.

Cross Buy seems to eliminate the need for an Xbox One, no? If I can just play all the One exclusives on PC, why buy the console?

Indie stuff was interesting, as usual, but nothing really stood out to me. Maybe that Bioshock looking game?

Recore was cool (it looked like a budget game, but it's also priced as one so it's all good) and as someone who doesn't care at all about Forza, I thought Horizon 3 looked neat - reminded me a lot of Motorstorm Pacific Rift, which is a good thing.

Sea of Thieves' presentation was awful (the game doesn't look good and the commentary was obnoxious and forced) and Scalebound looked boring and bland (it will probably be fun to play though, right? In Kamiya We Trust?).

Gears of War looked like Gears of War. I got tired of this franchise after #2. And General RAAM in Killer Instinct? No one cares about General RAAM.

Dead Rising has never appealed to me, ditto Halo Wars, so those two did nothing for me. State of Decay is something that I was vaguely aware of and the trailer looked sort of cool, but I'm also over zombie games so that's a no go for me as well.

Project Scorpio. No.

Overall, D+
