God Of War E3 2016 trailer gameplay, not open world, all Kratos, 2017

TLOU is the worst thing to have happened to Sony. WTF is this? This is not GOW; ugh.

Visually stunning but it doesn't look anything like God of War.

Insane graphics, and it seems a nice departure from old Gow games (Which is very nice, because I didn't like them).

Even Kratos seems tolerable now.

Definitely on my radar.

Game of the show, so happy with the direction they are taking. Had little interest in a new God of War but this blew me away.

First impression is that it reminds me of Tomb Raider for some reason. I think it's just the snowy forested area, but it looks very similar. Not much else I can gleam from it though, will have to wait for more footage from later in the game.

So will Beardos die in the prologue and we time skip to play as the grown up kid.

I like the cut of your jib!

I actually think it's a good thing, I like the new direction.

it's great but the slooooow combat looks shit. hopefully they improve on that.

the camera placement, narrative change and setting change is fantastic though. and they got a great composer too. gonna be the best god of war soundtrack which is a lofty ambition.

I liked the previous games a lot and I like the new direction they are going. I'm unsure how fun the combat will be yet but I'm perfectly fine with the more cinematic approach.
I'd be down for it maybe, maybe if the combat they showed looked similar but it looks way worse. Terrible camera and no hit counter? No thanks.

Finally some Kratos! It's about damn time.

Love new direction, graphics are insane. Gore is still here. That's nice. I hope that Axe is worthy replacement for Blade Of Chaos/Exile.

Need to see more combat sections. Can't judge it right now.

If they're going with this gameplay style, I hope the boss fights are dope as fuck and you don't always gotta be with the little kid. If not Ima be so fucking tight.

People judge what they're shown, and what they were shown was a extremely linear corridor janky action game that manages to look even jankier than Lords of the Fallen.
Agreeed, complete opposite direction I wanted. I'm fine with something different but not when it worsens the quality of the gameplay. UC4 may have been slower paced but it also had the best gameplay of the series, doesn't look like the case here.

It does kind of suck they've moved into this new direction for GoW as hack 'n' slash action fan, but I guess it was just a matter of time. I'll miss those crazy waves of enemies being sliced up by Kratos' blade.

not when the things they like about it are gone.
make sense?

Not really, you're assuming everyone wants the same out of a franchise, I'd like to see what they do with a norse mythology franchise in a more serious tone with amore worn down Kratos. Actually has me interested to play as him again. Plus I'll still likely get spectacular boss battles and enemy designs, so I'm happy.

Need to look at it again, but eh is my first reaction. Certainly looks pretty and I can't say I mind increased story, but I really hope there's lots of puzzles and most of all combat. I didn't play TLoU, but I can kind of see where the comparisons are coming from.

100% in agreement.

Sure they can, just like people who liked previous game can be upset that everything they liked about the series has pretty much been completely cut.

Only complaint I have it seemed too slow paced, more methodical approach.

Heavenly Sword is probably a better comparison to this game.

I don't think there's nearly enough in the demo to make a knowledgeable judgment on the combat, especially since you haven't played it and they haven't explained any of it either. I also don't really understand why people have a problem with the camera, but to each their own I guess.

I hate, I hate I hate this stupid trend in games where you start really slow. I like the setting, the new kratos but leave the fantastic opening from every other God of War.

Looks incredible but 5 min into the demo and it sure as hell isnt god of war. Still dope, but they're clearly just using the brand name

Unsure about the gameplay, demo looked boring to actually play
