You can try Forza 6 Apex Beta on Win 10 store for free right now.

It's a good port, although Turn 10 does Forza Motorsport while Playground Games does the Forza Horizons. The engines are said to be similar however

Ah, didn't realize it has a different dev team. I'll be sure to check out the beta later this week to see how it runs on my computer, though!

Finally Forza Horizon, I can play you. Glad its coming to PC. It's such a shame the PS4 couldn't deliver on racing games this generation. Driveclub alone isn't enough to outweigh Forza 6, Horizon 2 and 3 unfortunately.

Best wishes.

I really hated how Forza Horizons 2 was put together. Forza 6 on the otherhand seemed to fix a lot of the problems with the franchise. That was a super cool trailer MS presented, and hopefully the game lives up to it.

Of course it snows. :) There are many places where snow is known to happen but two areas known for the snow in Australia you can look up are Mount Buller and Falls Creek.
And Mt Hotham to round out the Victorian Alps. And there are plenty of snow fields in New South Wales as well such as Thredbo and Perisher etc

It's more Melbourne than anywhere else! Yarra Valley, Maroondah, Twelve Apostles, and the Rainforest looks like driving through the Dandanong Ranges.
Given how close the rainforest was to the twelve apostles (and Great Ocean Road) I'm going to say it's more based on the Otways moreso than the Dandenongs.

But the "city" being based on Byron Bay and not anything significant like Melbourne or Sydney kinda dampens the enthusiasm a little. At least put Geelong in there ;)

Surely not as bad as big places in Italy being a stone's throw from Nice? Lol

I guess it seems crazier when it's somewhere in your own country, the main real downside of open world games is scale but thankfully this still looks huge.
Yeah, I never really had the chance to play FH2. Had my fingets crossed for a PC port, but at least I can wait for FH3.

We have not seen the full map yet, there is no way that Sydney isn't going to be there.

the city will be surfers paradise

The city is definitely the Gold Coast though.

I did wonder how they would manage to fit such a huge and diverse country into the game.

So they managed it by just taking bits of the country and sticking them together ad hoc? What a bizarre looking map!

It might work in game but it looks really odd, and it's a shame for them not to have taken a realistic stance to the map, but I understand the reasons behind it.

Are all the events made by players? Is this what they meant by the player being the owner of the festival?.

Man, I love the aesthetics of this series. From the menu too.

Everything feels good, laid back, chill.

That music playing in the "leaked" gameplay fits it so good.

The Blueprint feature sounds awesome. Means I can create my own events and have a more linear progression if I want too. Honestly so hyped about this game.

As an Aussie I'm stoked this is based in my country, yeah the locations are shuffled but I don't care... Looks sick!
The rainforest location looks so good!

Wish Sydney was in there, the rocks area in pgr2 was excellent.

I've been a huge GT guy in the past but I'm super bummed where that series is heading. This is the game I really need.

My only fear is that the map will feel small to me coming from The Crew. Have there been any lengthy endurance events in any of the other Horizon games? I'm into those.

FH2 is my favorite game of this Gen. I am beyond excited for this especially since I can play on my xb1 or my brand new gaming PC at 1440p.

Do the new Windows store games enable a xbox live type overlay? Will I have quick access to my friends list and such?

As no one answered you, the Xbox app on windows 10 provides the overlay, store bought games it should just recognise and you can force it in steam games etc.

Looks great. So glad this is coming to PC.

Probably one of my favorite announcements from this E3. Nice to have it set in Australia as well.

I hope they add Sydney as an expansion in the map. I really want to see my mansion in Vaucluse modelled in the game..

no melbourne.
Looks like there will be no dynamic weather in this title

:P

Bahahaha! As a Melbournite that's hilarious :P

I'm a bit miffed Melbourne isn't represented, racing through the CBD would have been crazy fun, however I can not complain. I'm just too stoked we're getting a game based in our country! So exciting!

I just realised I posted pretty much the same thing as you, but as someone from Melb haha.

Lol. Being from Melbourne I'm still hyped. Where's the ring road maccas though?
