Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 2016 Thread [*LIVE*] (No childish commentary allowed)

I feel like Bill is a 10 year old in a sand box. Like, every time he puts a marker 10,000 miles away someone goes in the mic "Bill, Please."

That's very reassuring to hear! The only thing that would make me feel at ease with this game is please let there be more than 4 dungeons. You don't even have to specify exactly how many there are but please say it's more than 4, and then I'm back on board fully.

Has it been discussed if the new item selection style points to scrollwheel shoulder buttons on the NX version? Why else would they switch it up?

This is all apart of the Zelda 1 feel they seem to be going for.

not telling you shit...find it out on your own. Kinda hard to do that if they show everything.

How far along do you guys think this Wii U version is actually? It really seems far along to me and I sure hope they did not just delay this version to make the NX version seem more attractive. Did they mention if both versions will release simulteneously?

By the way: this latest footage and news about towns being in is making me come around to this game quite heavily. It does seem very extensive and open ended.

I love the throw a pile of wood and flint on the ground and then hit it with sword to make Magical fire-pit appear.

This game just looks FUN.

I guess going outside the plateau consist of standing on the edge and looking at what lies beyond haha.

I don;t get why they are so sensitive about spoilers. The story of Zelda has never been particularly interesting.

More screengrabs.

Eh, spoiler phobia has gotten silly. There's at least 9 months until the game is out, just show some story and a town. But I guess that would upset some folks.

I haven't seen the tunic. Is it in the game? If not, worst game of all time and Zelda is ruined.

(If anyone is playing the demo at E3, please just run off as fast as you can as link and check your map before your time is up and see how far you got!)

I was wrong and happy that's the case. I don't want to hate this game so stop trying to act like that's the case.

You did yourself no favors by spreading lies. It's been quoted countless times that Aonuma said they're not showing towns to avoid spoilers. Then we have Bill reassuring people that there are towns.

And you're judging the difficulty of the beginner dungeons. That's kind of crazy in my opinion.

I'd be OK with 4 dungeons if they were significantly larger than typical Zelda dungeons. Would be dope if there were dungeons that were super complicated because it might give them an opportunity to do something more creative and ambitious than in previous games.

I could see there being a couple of towns in the game, and a main dungeon in the same area that is somehow "connected" to each respective town. When you first arrive there the town is just a ruin, or perhaps frozen in time in some fashion. When you complete the dungeon you restore the town to its former glory, allowing you to interact with NPCs and get new kinds of resources that will help you survive easier in other areas you might've had a hard time traversing previously, providing a sense of progression.

I almost feel like the towns comment deserves a thread at this point.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, so why is this having towns a big deal?

Was it ever said it won't have it? Kinda weird for a Zelda game to not have towns. Do people think there are no dungeons too? Lol

They literally told us why. For people like me that enjoyed the Zelda stories
