There's room for both, I know I'm definitely more interested in Civ 6 than VR personally.
I say that as someone who has spent the last 14 months working on and off on VR experiences
They said they were going late, so I highly doubt it.

This comment tells me you have not been paying close attention to the VR market and community, and have little to no understanding of why Oculus VR going back on this is a bad thing for them and VR in general.

I haven't been following new Civ super closely (as the coverage is so thin and spread out among 200 different sites), but as someone who was worried about Civ 6 because of how piss poor Beyond Earth was, hearing that the guy behind the expansions of Civ V is lead designer makes me back on board.
And it wasn't really a burn on Phil specifically, but the industry as a whole
Not saying it's the right time for it, just that it would happen eventually.

Yep. Had no idea what his track record was but the minute I heard that, my interest in Civ VI is higher than ever.
That's how I felt about Lorne Lanning last year, such a great speaker and guest.

Palmer posting on Reddit during the shipping delay issues and his replies to people pointing out that he was going back on promises really made me lose a lot of respect for him and Oculus as a whole. He used to be such a great and enthusiastic voice for VR. Now... he's hard to listen to... for me, at least.

Man, what if you play as Kratos's Son but the game becomes about diplomacy and peaceful resolutions to conflict. His son basically goes in the opposite direction of Kratos.
