Giant Bomb @ E3 2016 | WEED3

That Palmer Luckey stuff was pretty bad. Not the interview segment itself, but his responses. Fleeing directly to "IMAGINE A WORLD" when confronted with relatively gentle questions about the issues surrounding VR was a very, very bad look. Particularly with all of this DRM fuckery.

At this point, VR is still nothing but hope and imagination. That's all they've got.

True enough, but it's still a bad look. A few years ago when E and Stepto did their post-E3 interview with Jeff (the one where Jonathan Blow went in on Microsoft) they pulled out the exact same spiel when asked about Kinect's issues.

For me Occulus went from frontrunners/innovators to dead last real quick over the last couple of months.

It's a giant missmanaged mess. They have terrible distribution pipeline, terrible propriatery software with DRM and locks out a ton of stuff. The hardware is good but not necessarly the best, nothing making them stand out over the other two anyway... Especially right now without their controllers.

They literally have nothing in their favor right now if you compare them to the Vive.

So who was the guest the beastcast was going nuts over Alex getting last week?

Actually I haven't watched any of the streams, who were the guests in general?

Scorpio potentially offering a high quality experience with the Rift is pretty much the only thing that keeps me interested in that specific headset.

John Drake just passed me while I was waiting in line for the Zelda viewing both. The gameplay line was cut off for the day by the time I got over there at 10:10, which kind of ruined my day.

Oh, Danny O'Dwyer, Xavier Woods, and a Screw Attack guy on the Game Spot co-op feed...talking Lego Star Wars.

EDIT: Oh, they were talking VR games and were just sponsored by Lego Star Wars.

I'm sure it's been asked, but I don't see it: are they not posting the night shows as podcasts this year? I would've thought it would be on iTunes by now.

Do we usually get any actual podcasts during E3 (not just the audio versions of the post E3 shows and the envelope thing)?

I need Small Business Man.

Thanks a lot man. Looks like a great line up.

Did they SERIOUSLY decide that going with "The Coon" in SP:FBW was a good idea?

Now I understand why GB was tepid on that game in spite of enjoying the Stick of Truth.

The superhero 3-parter South Park did was one of their more popular moments. After doing fantasy, it did make total sense for them to do it. South Park fans will eat it up.

It's been the character name on the show for years I think. Still, it was shitty then and it's shitty now.

When John Drake talked about the Sony conference, Alex could not wait to remind him of the official Giant Bomb position. He's really proud of their groupthink.
