However, if we are also still getting DQ VIII this year, that's a very short span of time for two Dragon Quest games.

I'll probably still day one it to support the release, but that's garbage release timing, an "actual" summer release of June-August would have been great. Game is way too massively long for me to start it at that point, wouldn't finish before all of the huge Fall releases hit, whereas July has like jack shit coming out.
