Final Fantasy XV: Airship Type-F Gameplay Trailer

That presentation mentioned how the E3 Titan special mission differed from the actual game.

Noticed in the Afrojack trailer that the generic grunt soldiers are present in the running sequence too.
 
I think Matt was in stasis or 0 HP for about 75% of the fight. I'm sure they were all giving him shit as soon as the cameras went off. Poor guy.

I'd like to believe it's better in the final game.

What's weird is that there soldiers in the field with lasers that we should be able to manipulate somehow. It just feels like something is missing.
 
Regardless of Mat's skills, whoever designed the Titan fight by making it all claustrophobic as you're fighting an enormous giant screwed up. That particular Titan portion doesn't look fun at all.

Hope we get some actual Shadow of the Colossus style fights.

I think that the Titan battle is supposed to be more an "event" with a lot of QTE that a real fight
But yeah, I would also prefer something like Shadow

Those appear to be harpoons of some kind. They're hard to spot but you can see connecting lines.

There are also airships in the distance with more/thicker harpoon lines.

There looks to be more to the actual scenario with these factions involved than is immediately obvious with the E3 version.

Did the leak thread get deleted? If it's been deconfirmed I kinda want to read through it now that I know it's safe to see what caused all those reactions.
 
I'm watching the demo now and it's just poorly designed. You're supposed to attack the arm but the area is so small and the camera is so spazzy that sometimes you lose complete track of the arm.

It's just a bad demo and doesn't look fun at all.

My biggest concern is about the camera
Both Duscae and Platinum demos had some camera problems. And the cam on Type-0 it's one of the worst that I saw.
 
game looks so good that the blemishes really stand out more than usual.. such beautiful surroundings and then you see trees and shadows etc pop out of nowhere right in front of you, ugh. so confusing, such beauty and ugliness coming at me at the same time :|

fix the pop-in in the Neo version please Square.

and yea airship music is a must.
 
Imo the combat system works fine against regular enemies but just doesn't work against giant set piece bosses like Titan. That's when It's clunkiness really shows.

wait is magic rechargeable now? or is it still limited? it looked in matt's video that ice magic was recharging for another use.
 
I'll await for the full battle in the main game, I avoided the footage of the Titan outside the e3 demonstration so I'm pretty much in blackout mode. Tomorrow's question segment should be good.

Oh yeah that's true.... It's been awhile since I have played anything FFXV related since I skipped the PLatinum Demo

To be fair, I've turned my opinion around because I really wanted to . I was in the mindset of "Please SE, convince me to get this". My negativity was begging for a reason and combat was the biggest (only?) obstacle. Wait mode takes out most issues I have with combat. I'm curious how bad that Titan demo would be on wait mode.

Also to be fair, since yesterday, they've put out great content.

The Brotherhood episode especially made me want more. More Prompto!

More information about the games sub systems such as magic synthesis really pushed it over the edge for me. For me, FF's are all about the sub systems, whether it's jobs, junctioning, or the license/gambit system. Being able to mix magic is my idea of fun.

The Altissia video also helped.

It's starting to look like Final Fantasy.

The only reason I've appeared to be so negative is because that shows how much I love Final Fantasy and how high my standards are for the series. What I was seeing was not (IMO) Final Fantasy standard.

The past day however...

They should've had some pre-recorded gameplay and him just pretending to play on stage. It sucks to be honest cause that minor incident did harm.
 
I hope the 15 questions that are answered by Tabata tomorrow though actually are good questions and leave us with some pertinent information. This is the last time until Gamescom probably for information unless we get a massive interview here at E3 from an IGN or something post-E3

Agreed. I hope he doesn't still wind up getting fired, especially with that new bug stuff. Dude's literally probably smelling like he shit himself now lol

Honestly they are the ones who wanted this segment demoed. and they created a special demo for the event. Falk pointed out in the trailer it already has some differences so it'll play out different I'm sure.

But yea Matt probably shouldn't do any more demos. He picked probably the safest and more boring way to demo it and the MS presser. IMO everything they've shown outside of that looks good.

I'm with you on the optimism. I just wish the Titan demo wasn't sloppy.

This is driving me mad.

All the gameplay I had seen thus far during E3 made me decide I won't bother picking it up but both the airship and Altissa footage looks amazing. I guess I'm back to wait for reviews mode now......

Yeah, i think lots of people are. Word of mouth is going to be a huge factor in how well the game sells.

Looks like a traditional FFVI styled arena where you fight a lot of monsters going by its architecture. Monster arenas are more common than sports stadiums in games like this. Considering Tabata's favorite FF is VI, and I'd bet my hand that that's an FFVI styled monster arena.

Naaah, it's based in Europe, so Tabata built a complete FIFA game into FFXV. Please be excited.
