JR Smith. The man. The myth. The...

Listen, y'all. This dude has one mode. He starts the game in heat check. Hand in his face? Pull up three. Kyrie has scored 10 points in a row? Fall-away three. LeBron unstoppable going to the basket? Smith might mess around and try a hook shot. From 3.

And he's now an NBA champion. Sure, he might "accidentally" punch a dude in the face, but let's let bygones be bygones.

Bask in his glory.

LMAO. That's why I loved his post game speech. I think he really did stop believing he would ever see a chip towards the end of his career.

Remember guys if you're even in position where the choices are either drink some more or talk to the girl looking at you from across repeat these words "What Would JR Smith Do?"

Nothing bad can come from that thought process.

Remember folks... JR MOTHA FUCKIN SMITH WENT ON AN 8-0 run against the best regular season team ever on a game 7 on the road to help Cleveland win the chip.

JR was a few years behind me in high school in NJ.

I remember going to see LeBron play at the Prime Time Shootout in Trenton, NJ in 2003. He completely busted Trevor Arizas ass. The place was packed and sold out to see LeBron. He put on a show for the crowd and the place emptied as soon as SVSM won.

The game after, with a completely empty arena? St. Benedicts against some team I forget. JR Smith went off, shooting 3s from all over the court. It's crazy to think that was more than 13 years ago and how far they've both come.

I love that he STILL gives the NBATV cameraman a fist bump after that speech right before he hugs his father.

As someone who hadn't seen the game yet because I live in Europe and had dvr'ed it since I had to be awake for work. This thread makes me sad for the game being spoiled. While I'm glad the king of fuckball is now reigning the land I'm wish I could have seen it myself first :(

Sorry for my spoilerphobia :(

Edit: Here's a vote for renaming it to the Jr Smith appreciation thread without the spoilery subtitle. I mean if you click on it it's whatever if you get spoiled but getting spoiled by thread titles suck.

Nvrmind the entire offtopic subforum is now a spoiler :(

How did you not expect threads revealing the winner after a championship game?
