I feel like this referendum has been more toxic than any general election I can remember. You get the feeling everyone wants to kick the shit out of the other side.

Yeah I think if Farage and UKIP weren't on the scene it would be more civil, really made the Scottish referendum seem like a picnic.
 
Did you see that breakdown of voter demographics? Leave has most support from less educated.
Oh I know - I'm a teacher and was watching a video about this in citizenship and it said that about 60% would like less immigration. An annoying Year 9 cheered, but the very next fact was that people against immigration tended to have less qualifications.

The "less educated," have a higher chance of living in the poorer parts of the country and seeing more of the bad sides of mass immigration.

On that point they may be more knowledgeable than your average "well educated" person who is more worried about if they will have to change the BMW this year or next.
