Good luck today, UK. With the rise of far right nationalism in Europe and this being one example, I hope Good prevails.

I mean, sorry - I'm voting remain, but seeing people repeatedly brushing everyone on the leave camp with the same "you're racist" brush is absolutely infuriating.

Final and most up to date poll...

EU referendum poll:
Remain: 55%
Leave: 45%
(via Populus, online / 21 - 22 Jun)
Excl. DKs.

This seems generous. I'm not saying the pollsters/bookies have it wrong (Conservative GE; Leicester in Prem League), but that's a pretty big swing from an even a fortnight ago.

If it is right, then it just shows: It's the economy stupid.

10p Crisp Party for the next election please.

Can't remember who it was, but I saw a comedian that said he would vote for anyone who could sort out the rules for games of pool across the land.

For the record, two shots carry, except on black. Don't have to nominate pocket, but if you do and it doesn't go in that one, you lose. Must play down table after white has gone in.

Simple.

Conservative-GAF or GAF with conservative family, how are you voting/they?

Pretty certain this vote will be won on how Conservative England sways.

My parents are conservative voters, but massively with the Osborne/Cameron/May part not the mental bit.

They are strong Remain voters.

i think its just as expected, large swing to status quo. In the end most folk realise our economy has barely recovered from the last recession and it is too risky to leave just now and endanger our economy.

The problem with this campaign is if Leave mentioned immigration they got shouted down as Xenophobic and Racist.

It drives a lot of people to Vote Leave for actually refusing to discuss the point.

The actual reason a lot of people want to discuss though isn't because of immigration being a bad thing.

But this is bollocks. Immigration is one of the most discussed issues in our society. Up there with the economy, the weather and the NHS.

Immigration is constantly brought up on every politics TV show and in every newspaper, usually by the same people who say they're not allowed to talk about it.

"Discussing immigration" only gets called out as racist when it's really fucking obviously racist (like that Nazi-baiting poster Farage unveiled the other day), because some people are just massive racists who try to hide behind the idea that they're only "discussing immigration".

And the idea that most people who want to discuss immigration are not doing so from the perspective that they want less of it is just ridiculous.

I wasn't saying that leave is far right, just saying that we need to stick together and work together. I have my own problems with EU but there are concerning trends in Europe that needs to be challenged.

Pretty sure there should have been a referendum on overhauling our shitty tax system instead. Many of the fears (NHS and funding) would be absolved if we didn't let crooks get away with paying next to no tax here in the UK. Companies and the super wealthy included.

The problem is, if Remain win and those that have rational arguments for wanting to Leave aren't heeded or listened to at all, you are going to see a further frustration and otherwise good people (they do exist) feeling that they simply have no choice but to align themselves to the only people who will listen....the far right nationalists

This isn't a case of goodies vs baddies

Will the price of Freddo's increase if we leave the EU? This is a deal breaker.
The price of what now?

if they're legitimate arguments. there's no reason why they shouldn't be represented if remain wins.

I haven't been following the coverage, but does anyone get the feeling the print media especially is going to irrevocably tanited by this whole thing?

On both sides, I've never seen them so nasty, sensationalist and vile. I'm sure they have lost huge chunks of their viewerships because of it.

A lovely fellow encouraging people to vote leave in our town centre informed my mother and myself, of Indian descent, he'd like his country back.

Will be voting remain, not as a result of this incident. Just don't trust the British government with free reign. Also as someone who will be working for the NHS in a few years time.
I'd like my country back from these twats. Whilst they're giving that back, maybe they could relinquish the English flag too so that I don't always assume anyone carrying it is some right-wing nut.

What does 'I want my country back' even fucking mean? This country has a huge history of immigration and every time it has added to our country, our culture and our future. Fuck these arseholes, the country was never theirs.

No, because this is nothing new for them. They'll be just as bad the next time an issue comes up.

That's not right and you know it.

The EU should ban them, unpleasant bit of powdery cardboard.

I know I shouldn't but they taste so good.

I want my country back generally translates as "I want the 50/60s back" as far as I can tell.

On the other hand, a leave victory would risk legitimising and emboldening the far/ultra right that support leave and christ knows what would happen then. They sure as hell wouldn't be happy with the fact we wouldn't immediately start drawing up plans to deport all foreigners.
