What is the lowest Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition has gone? Because I swear its been lower (some months ago even) than it is now and since steamdb doesn't track the whole bundle there is no way to know...

It looks like buying the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics collection is the better buy than buying the individual packs if:

1) You want the Sonic games (though Humble will probably add the missing games next week)
2) You want the Toe Jam & Earl games (they're 2.50 a piece, which basically covers the difference in price between buying the individual packs)

All the individual packs together come to $9.35, but don't have any of the above.
The collection comes to $15.49 and includes everything, which is way over the $6.14 difference.

Didn't the Sega Mega and Genesis bundles automatically discount if you owned several titles already? If they did, they are no longer

Wait, so Divinity OS is 50% off until July 4th then correct? That would mean i have time until then to decide whether to grab it or go with Pillars of Eternity instead (provided it too will go on sale until then) I only have time for ONE super epic WRPG right now.

Yes, it'll be the same price on Steam, though it might go on sale on other sites like the Humble Store.

D:OS and PoE go for completely different things, so it's really a matter of preference. If you want some humor and a really fun, intricate turn based battle system, go with D:OS (just be warned that the story is pretty weak). If you want a game with a great story (with a relatively weak/rushed third act), lore, and characters, with a good real time with pause battle system, get PoE.

Now the hardest part is getting through the checkout...

*EDIT* Also something to note, is PayPal lets you take 6 months with no interest to pay on credit orders of over $100, so if there are games you know you'll want to play between now and the winter sale, that helps ease the load of the big biannual sale purchases.

Pro tip for this sale: get Tales from the Borderlands. Even if you don't like Telltale games. You don't need to know anything about B'lands, it's 66% off and the game is incredible. One of the best games I've played this year, combines comedy & heart like few games have done recently.

I'll probably even gift a few copies to people in my friend list, I love this game so so much.

Yup, out of nowhere great game

But on the front page of Steam is a section called "Deals of the day". Should I wait to see if the games I want to buy will end up on there before buying them?

Binding of Isaac is the best out there in my opinion. Start with Afterbirth as it includes all of the content from the original game, but ports the engine to win32 from Flash.

I've had the original Binding of Isaac for the longest time, I attempted to play it the other day before realising that it didn't properly support controllers and there was a new version which improved upon the original in every way. So, yeah, that's definitely on my list now.

Also, FTL is also potentially on my list, as watching Pre:Rec streams with Rich Evans and Jay Packard over the last couple of weeks has piqued my interest in all things rogue-like.

OK. So I get a much better deal buying Dragonborn in a bundle than I do buying it by itself.

What?

My theory as to why Bethesda does that is because they want to discourage people buying the DLC, they want people to buy the Legendary edition.

Buying DLC is just DLC, but when you buy the Legendary edition, you're re-buying the base game SKU. That way they can say "Skyrim, (x)-Million units sold!" when they do all their marketing. If it were cheaper to just buy the DLC alone they wouldn't get those extra sales.

What's the general opinion on Curses N Chaos? I like the studio and I love the art style, I'm into arcade action games, but I don't like stuff that is *too* repetitive. It's 60% off though...

Guys suggest Japanese games to me.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

FTL also has a ton of mods that can range from hi-res backgrounds to new ships, and even brand new campaigns.

Guys suggest Japanese games to me.

The Ys series
Gurumin
Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky
Grandia 2
Higurashi
Zero Time Dilemma
Disgaea 1
Phantom Brave 1
Killer is Dead (has EASY 60/120 FPS fix)
DanganRonpa 1+2
Valkyria Chronicles
Lovely Planet
Kero Blaster
Gunhound EX
Transformers Devastation
Metal Gear Rising
Streets of Rage 2 (moddable)
Ikaruga
CAVE's shooters
Degica's shooters
Way of the Samurai 3 and 4

Off the top of my head for now.

I think despite its flaws, 1 is much better than 2.

Never managed to get into the whole rhythm-ish combat system for 1, which kind of killed any momentum I had for the series. Maybe I should go back to those (especially now that I've given up on Neptunia, since the damn game keeps locking up during combat on me.)

But on the front page of Steam is a section called "Deals of the day". Should I wait to see if the games I want to buy will end up on there before buying them?

That's not what the section is called in English and the English name makes it clear that the prices are not changing daily, just the attention given to them.

You probably would have been better off buying the retail Legendary Edition of Skyrim at an online retailer, which hasn't had its price hiked, has all the DLC, and would grant you the updated remaster thing for free (although the mods available make that redundant)

The only reason I want the legendary edition is to get the remaster - I already have the base game but have never played it. What mods would I need to get basically the same result as the remaster?

should we get the Wii U version instead? what are the pros/cons of each port?

I haven't played the Wii U version so I wouldn't know. Not having to use the Gamepad is a plus and I'm assuming that the Wii U version's 720p upscaled to 1080p and the PC version's 1080p. Minor stuff in the end.

is it just like any other telltale game?namely, you make choices but those choices don't matter at all?

I was going to buy Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, but I notice that the recent reviews are 'Mixed', while the total review has it ranked 'Mostly Positive'. Many of the recent negative reviews seem to indicate the performance of the game is subpar compared to the original Dead Rising 2, which seems to be a very good port.

Has anyone experienced issues with Off the Record? I really enjoyed the original Dead Rising, and love taking photographs as a game mechanic (although, strangely, I never take screenshots on my own), so I feel like Off the Record would be more to my liking. However, performance issues will cause me to give up on the game very quickly.

They are both $5.99 currently, so the price is not a consideration. Any input about this would be very helpful.

So I tried to buy ARK, got the checkout screen.
Didn't process, didn't get confirmation, haven't had an email, it's still in my cart.

but it's now my steam games library?

I'll probably get Doom and Black Mesa, there's really nothing else to get. Not so much that there aren't any deals as I've kind of got everything from past sales and the newer games just don't have the discounts I was hoping for.

Bloodgate, a cool looking early access Puzzle Quest-like, is 0.89€ (90% off)

Bingo. Even if it were a bit more expensive it would be worth it because of the Remaster patch.

Ugh, I got to the final step of the purchase process and it's been sitting on this screen for 10 minutes:

Any thoughts on what I should do? Refresh the page? I don't want to be double charged...

Mine got stuck on that permanently but it took my money and I have the game.

*shrugs*
