So, Alan Wake or Call of Cthulhu guys?

I preferred Call of Cthulhu BY FAR - couldn't make it through Alan Wake...didn't find it funny or fun, just...bad. I loved Call of Cthulhu - great atmosphere and a very unique game, highly recommended!

But I'm sure I'm in the minority opinion...

http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/498/ <-- $0.24 for three turds
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/567 <-- $0.42 for 11 turds, this might be your all-time lowest per-game price ever
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/800/ <-- $0.74 for 6 awful anime garbage turds
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/473 <-- $0.30 for three dog related turds
(some numbers might be slightly different depending on which turds you own or don't own already)

just in case you guys want to maximize the +1s for your dollar

Dead Rising 2 Off the Record tells the same events from a slightly different perspective and you play as the main character of Dead Rising 1. I don't know exactly how far they diverge in terms of content.

if you own one of the first bundle games it becomes 6 cents

is it just like any other telltale game?namely, you make choices but those choice don't matter at all?

It's a comedy game, so the choices are mostly about what kind of payoff you want, so it works far better than most Telltale games, but yeah if you are hoping for some deep branching paths or something than this is not that game.

Do I need to buy the Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition or even be able to use The Following? Unless I'm really missing something. I only have the base Dying Light game and I have no idea what I would need to add instead of paying full price (well, $30) for the Enhanced Edition. What does the Enhanced Edition actually include?

Somehow, I pay less if I get the bundle with Superhot rather than buy the individual game.

Edit: Same with other bundles.

Please make a list of all these deals at one point. I have to go through all the pages to find your posts because the search function cannot find the most recent ones!

Don't know for sure, but it seems those kind of bundles only give you what you don't already have, and then a a discount from buying from the bundle page.

Yes, kinda, but this is a very self-aware game and it even pokes fun at those Telltale tropes. I was kinda down on Telltale after Walking Dead, never got the love for that... but TftB was an out of nowhere shocker. I was ecstatic when I finished it. It's been weeks and I still play the songs from the soundtrack.

Give it a shot.

But more than anything it's a full on comedy game that still manages to make you care about the characters and story. It kind of reminded me of golden age Simpsons in that regard: it's always 'on' (jokes all the time), but it still has heart when and where it counts. It's not a throwaway experience. Another comparison in that regard is Guardians of the Galaxy: full on comedy, but great and interesting set of characters.

Thanks.

And now I remembered that Revengeance will never get a sequel. :(

So, Final Fantasy series seems to have discounts, except for 8, 9 and 10. I'm looking at getting 9 (I want to actually play it), so we don't think it's going to get a discount, do we?

I'm at the final checkout stage. It's just hanging there. I wonder who will crack first. HURRAH! Valve cracked first! Suckers! I've managed to successfully give my money to them.

Should I buy or skip Witcher 1 and 2?
Never managed to get into the whole rhythm-ish combat system for 1, which kind of killed any momentum I had for the series. Maybe I should go back to those (especially now that I've given up on Neptunia, since the damn game keeps locking up during combat on me.)
Buy them, try them out, but don't force yourself to go forward because each newer game is much easier to get into than the last, and the stories are fairly stand-alone.
Game has been in development forever and just recently released.

I'm actually not surprised. Would expect bigger discounts next year.
Not to mention there's even more Grim Dawn content teased to come soon.

So, Alan Wake or Call of Cthulhu guys?

I found Alan Wake to be fairly bland and forgettable although it obviously has the higher production values.

Call of Cthulhu's quality varies greatly from area to area and it's an older PC game that's not entirely stable, but the good parts of the game are REALLY good. Definitely worth playing through at least once if you're a horror game fan.

I have $104 of games in my cart and I'm still adding stuff. Only added a tiny fraction of games on my wishlist that have discounts.

Help.

I want to get GTA V or DOOM but I just bought that 1080. Nothing to really test it with. Stardew Valley is getting terrific frames though!

Witcher 2 is still a pretty good game but I prefer 1 over it for a number of reasons even with the jank. I "felt" more like a Witcher in the first game and the story is far far faaaar superior.

What's the difference between the Sega Classics pack?
There seems to be two versions for each pack.
I broke it down a little:

It looks like buying the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics collection is the better buy than buying the individual packs if:

1) You want the Sonic games (though Humble will probably add the missing games next week)
2) You want the Toe Jam & Earl games (they're 2.50 a piece, which basically covers the difference in price between buying the individual packs)

All the individual packs together come to $9.35, but don't have any of the above.
The collection comes to $15.49 and includes everything, which is way over the $6.14 difference.

There is also another pack which doesn't seem discounted, but doesn't have all of what the 15.49 pack has.

So far in for ADR1FT and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter VR.
Possibly Windlands even though it is not all that much of a sale.
I am considering No Limits 2 Rollercoaster even though it is only 25% off.

If anyone else stumbles across any good VR games (for the Rift), feel free to share, as that is my sole purpose of this sale.
