It seems a LOT of people I have spoken to have voted Leave.

Furthermore, the Guardian reporting these final polls putting both ahead in different polls makes this thing seem a lot more close than expected.

For some reason, I think Leave actually stands a very good chance of happening. I still think Remain will win, but Leave is certainly creeping up.

There'll be no exit poll tonight. A couple of 'on the day' polls, but they're not as accurate.

Though - to be fair - YouGov's indyref one was pretty damn close.

Refs generally show a decent swing towards the status quo in the last week. People on the fence usually choose the safer option.

Probably yes. I think that's the case in general actually, I don't think there's a high chance the UK would leave. But you can never be sure of course.

Polls are closed! And so are the NeoGAF Brexit Predictions.

We had a total of 66 guesses, which is fantastic.

Our average prediction as team GAF is...
Remain: 53%
Leave: 47%
Turnout: 70%

In total, 76% of people thought Remain will win. 21% think it's leave, with 3% plonking for too close to call.

The most common predictions are 54% Remain, with a 72% turnout.

As the night rolls in and we get final results, we'll see who got closest on both the results and the turnout. And maybe even an overall prediction winner, if that looks plausible and we can calculate.

Thanks everyone who gave their best guesses!

BRING ON DIMBLEBOT.

Unfortunately they're not doing one.

Damn, that's a shame.

Watching the BBC and the talk about Newcastle aiming to declare first though....I worry about places racing to count as fast as possible to declare quickly...it's not exactly confidence inspiring for accurate results.

I'm conflicted.

Stay awake to watch the 'IN' landslide take effect, but feel like a zombie for work in the morning, or sleep it over and watch the results in the morning. hmmm decisions, decisions!

I think it'll be similar to the scottish referendum: a sizeable leave vote but a winning remain vote as people stick with the devil they know or are swayed by the 'sky will fall' stuff the remain team have been putting out (not that the muck the leave campaign have been flinging is much better admittedly ¬.¬ )

Both sides were fear mongering. People are easily manipulated in either direction.

Well, turnout in some area I can't type was 84+%, much larger than a prior election/referendum thing.

EDIT: Farage reckons Remain has edged it, huh? I'd not be surprised tbh.

Sky had much better coverage in the GE and seemed to get everything 'quicker' especially after that Farage quote again tonight.

Edit YouGov poll on Sky now
