Brexit polls suggesting Remain will win, has led to an increase in the value of the £ vs the $

Forget the Steam Sales UK folk - head to GOG and spend them American $!

Oh. I was hoping Final Fantasy X HD would be cheaper but it's not on sale at all. So much for waiting a month.

I know it was recently released but even 10% would have been nice.

Looking at Wizardry 6-8, anyone oldschool able to say if they hold up at least decently for someone who's played little from that era? My only reference is Ultima 4 which i played at the start of this year and really enjoyed it. I especially making my own maps and keeping a notebook of clues and figuring (mostly) everything by myself. However some of the hidden walls/switches in the dungeons were ridiculous and the combat sucked pretty bad.

I know they're only $4 altogether, but I guess I'm more asking if they're worth the time investment? On a related note I'm wondering if Wizardry 1-3 are worth playing and how one would go about buying them. I couldn't find them on Steam or GoG and Amazon has them pretty expensive for 30+ year old games.

Oh yeah, BTW.

Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of Zestiria, and Disgaea are in a bundle together during the sale BTW - Along with Neptunia and Agarest for about $40

Man they had a good fucking plan with DOOM.

Release that demo to get people hungry for it, then follow up with a big discount right off the bat. #1 seller now.

herd great things about ransformers devastation..anyone already tried it and can tell me if it's more bayonetta or more korra?

Disappointed that Holopoint and H3, the two VR games I really want and still don't have aren't discounted at all.

What's the consensus here on Windlands and Cloudlands minigolf, worth picking up?

I really want to know more about The Long Dark. GB did a quick look of the game a couple years back and it seemed like the type of survival game I could get in to but some guy recently wrote a review (on steam) that made it sound like a lot of the things they promised have yet to be released and they've gone to the Valve/Blizzard approach of "its ready when its ready" instead of regular updates.

It always intrigued me, and having heard a couple of trusted friends saying they've had a good - while rather short - time with it, I bit.

For that price I can't complain.

Cloud lands feels really good as a mini golf game, but it suffers IMO by having a lot of stupidly complex holes.

I grabbed

pony island
20xx
the solus project
wick
ace of seafood

And I went through my whole wishlist and removed lots of things. Makin progress...

Apologies if it's been mentioned but...is the sale price the sale price? There won't be any cheaper dailies or flash prices?

Ubisoft might possibly have a few further discounts, but yes, all the current prices should be fixed for the duration of the sale. Flashes and dailies were dumped last Xmas and don't seem to have returned.

Why is World in Conflict not available to buy any more?

Ubisoft and its policy of withdrawing games with compatibility issues. You can still get it on GOG.

good design valve

What's the verdict on Adr1ft, it has mixed reviews. I don't have VR but I have a good PC, still worth it? It's 10 bucks right now.

Thanks :)

I haven't really seen it mentioned here (although I could have missed it) but

The Elder Scrolls Online is $20.

The game is great and there are no longer any monthly charges. Hundreds of hours of content available and more is being added all the time as paid DLC (the Dark Brotherhood / Gold Coast DLC just dropped last month). I highly recommend it, its a very solo-friendly MMO.

Looking down my wishlist and everything is still 9.99 or higher. Oh well, guess next sale. Amazing how fast these sales lost their luster.

English Country Tune for $0.50! The best deal on my wishlist. Looking at Pony Island and Kerbal Space Program. That one is always on sale but I'm close to pulling the trigger.

I'm new to PC gaming and I'm considering:
SOMA
Firewatch
Alien: Isolation

Thoughts?

All great games that are all worth your time.

SOMA is an incredible story made better if you use the mod that disables monsters ;)
Firewatch is a really neat, kind of nicely mundane story about flawed people (aka people)
Alien Isolation is a game you'll either adore or not. I think it's a wonderfully stressful stealth horror game and I love it a ton.

I think I'll bite on Transformers: Devastation for that price. I have no nostalgia for the cartoon but the game itself looks pretty fun.

Really tempted to get the Tomb Raider + JC3 bundle, but 1) I also kind of want the season pass for JC3 and 2) I'm not sure how my i5-2500K and 770 will run them.

I've been thinking about an MMO lately. I haven't played WoW in like... 3-4 years and I still love that game but at this point I refuse to pay a subscription. ESO has been tempting but... man, I don't know. I'm trying to limit myself to $50 for the steam sale. I have a habit of buying a bunch of games because they're a good deal and never playing them and $20 is a huge chunk of that.

Its super tempting, though.
