Started up Way of the Samurai 4. Is there a recommended kb/m layout? Because the way things seem right now I need three hands and a prehensile tail to access everything. The combat is particularly crazy: I look at the movements and it's like "--> + H" and I'm thinking "bitch, not only am I using the mouse but there are like three things the right arrow could be referring to."
The controls are weird even with a controller. I can't imagine doing it with kb/m.

it's absolutely crazy to me that if I want to play a game like SM64 on PC, I literally have one option and that's to emulate SM64 in all it's garbage camera glory.

Double Fine tried.
Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter targeting that niche to a degree.
I love Endless Legend and it brings unique things to the table compared to Civ in the form of quests. Just do the combat on automatic and it's even more like a fantasy Civ. Pretty sure it's been cheaper though but if you're looking for a new 4X it's probably the best one out there.
Poi is in early access. It actually plays really well but the goals themselves are super easy and there's no ending.

easily, it's still a huge and interesting game and I paid much more after trying during free weekend

Blackguards is pretty close.
Disgaea and/or Phantom Brave are amazing tho, if you can look past the anime style.

Weirdly the same is true for me except with chroma squad instead of banner saga. Awful boss design. Just give 80 million hit points and no challenge. Oh and the game randomly crashed half way through twice.

Got ryse yesterday for like 6 bucks seems OK of a deal.
Super pissed at dr2 I've done everything to get Xbox one controller to works including x360ce and nothing. I can even get the controller to show up in game file but nope still greyed out in game menu. I'm gonna refund it

I was looking at it, but honestly it seems a bit light on content for a $9 game on sale. Most of the reviewers have like 3-4 hours in the game :|
AoW3 is by far the best game in the genre.
Yeah I got every single ribbon in the game, including the ones for collecting stuff.
It's a shame because the game really does control well. They understand what makes Mario 64 fun, but don't seem to have a great game for their great gameplay mechanics.
XBone Controller doesn't work with Dead Rising 2? hmmm... that makes me not want to buy the game :/

That's a lot of games to go through.
I've been meaning to ask, if I skip over something in the discovery queue without marking it as Not Interested, will it ever show up there again? I often at least give things in the queue a quick look, but I've definitely given a few games less attention than they probably deserve.

Yes beware to get any controller to run I believe but for sure x1 ... you have to move x360ce files into the game directory etc etc I've spent two hours and nothing... so I would say a big nope unless you like fiddling or maybe 360 controllers are more forgiving

It won't show up again. Not interested just prevents it from showing up on the front page and during deals as well.
Disgaea is awesome if infinite grinding and numbers are your thing.

You know, I always assumed you were on gaf but I only know you through your renaming of games on Steam.
Both those are heavily combat based and aren't going to scratch a Civ itch even close to what Endless Legend will.
Disgaea and the Agarest series.

I am contemplating picking up Bioshock 1 and 2 to get the remasters for free. I played both games on xbox and only own Infinite vanilla on pc. What do I have to buy to get the remasters of part 1 and 2? Are 1 and 2 enough or do I have to buy Minerva's Den as well? I hope I don't have to own the infinite dlc. I don't need more of that.
