Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC Is the Last One, Bethesda Says

So what was their original DLC plan? Just Far Harbor and those workshop DLC's (no, I don't count that robot thing as story DLC)? This is low, Bethesda, even for you.

Not many probably. Started at $30 and GMG at least put it on sale for that price again (and I used a coupon code to drag it further down.)

I don't regret at about $20, but for $50 it'd be damn lame.

Yea I think I paid 22-23 IIRC. I enjoyed Far Harbor quite a bit & Automatron was ok, I feel like I got my 20 bucks worth. I could care less about all the settlement stuff, as modders had unlocked the great majority of that stuff already. The build a vault one could be fun I guess. No way I would have paid 50 bucks for this content though.

For $30 I'm not mad about the season pass.

$50 though? god damn

Anyway I'll be glad when they're done because patches break mods. Let the modders make the content that's actually worth a damn.

Fallout 3s DLCs were what? $60?

Zeta, PiTT, and the Georgia Swamp DLC were the only thing worth it.

So far 2 good DLCs here and some interesting expansions for those that like settlement building.

$50 is probably too steep, but I'm feeling pretty damn happy at $30 buy in

The workshop DLC is really shitty and cheap feeling

The damn town builder isn't good

The thing I don't like about it is that modders have already done it 100x better. Why can't they include all the furniture objects and walls/floors/etc...? Modders can do it. Why no options for preserved versions of objects that do exist rather than the beat up ones? That's the part of the DLC that strikes me as shitty.

For fifty bucks upfront they should have provided more content than all the dlc for fallout 3 or NV, this seems like way less even including shit teir dlc that mods would have added for free.

Wow.

Take the money and run, eh.

How about that bullshit bait and switch with the "we're going to add SO MUCH we're raising the prices guys". Shameless.

That fucking sucks. Bethesda does its best work when they do new landmass DLCs, and that's it at two.

If Nuka World isn't the best DLC they've ever done, $50 is a terrible price for the season pass.

$30 (what I paid) is totally fine for the story content (Mechanist *even though it sucked and was short*, Far Harbor and *expectingly good content* in Nuka World is worth $30 to me even without the workshop crap. If anyone paid $50 though expecting story content on par with the previous two recent Fallouts then I feel they got swindled.

Get Gud? Always can be better, but there's been some amazing settlement builds without mods. It cone down to creativity and skill, the tools are mostly fine.

I have a feeling the bumping of the season pass price was a smart idea to make more people go buy the season pass. Because they said "you can buy it now for 30 bucks before the price bump which will happen in a week" the season pass was top seller in steam for days. It was probably a smart marketing move ot make people rush to buy the season pass thinking it will be worth it for 50 bucks (which it isn't).

So we got 2.5 legit dlcs (the robot workshop one was half building and half story) and 2.5 workshop ones. Not worth the season pass price imo. Far Harbor was decent but the only dlcs worth anything to me are the story ones, so even then I don't know if I would have paid $15 for that. The workshop ones are pretty much worthless in my eyes.

Hopefully Nuka-World is worth it. The concept already sounds pretty cool.

Far Harbor was great.

Its a shame we didnt get a DLC that brings a definitive end thematically to Fallout4 ala New Vegas but then again, I suppose you're out of luck considering what passes for 'story' in the base game.

I don't know why anyone expected more than that. As for the value proposition there was a point where it could be bought at 30 or you could just wait and pick and choose the good expansions. It's pretty much in the middle imo I've seen a lot better, but I've also seen far worse when it comes to season passes.

I'll mimic the general sentiment of the thread- the season pass is absolutely not worth 50 bucks, and I think that whole price increase thing was planned from the start to get more people on board.

30 dollars for Automatron, Far Harbor and (presumably) Nukaworld seems fair though.
Far Harbor was a bit light on content though, as is in my opinion. If Nukaworld is too, than even 30 might be a tad steep.

Automatron, Far Harbor and Nuka-World -- the three content-expanding releases -- would be my guess. The Contraptions and Wasteland Workshops were no doubt something Bethesda threw together so that three pieces of DLC for $30 could become five pieces of DLC for $50, which at a cursory glance can be seen as a lateral price move relative to the amount of content ($10 a piece).

'cause Bethesda.

I gotta go back to the original Season Pass announcement thread and laugh at all the people who were mad at me for criticizing Bethesda for that shit.

Everyone who paid for this shit before they even decided what they were developing in terms of DLC deserves this shit and everything else publishers decide to take out of their asses.

Uhhh. What are people mad about exactly? The Mechanist was fun, Far Harbor was awesome, Nuka World looks to be the size of Far Harbor or bigger. Seems worth it to me.

Nuka World is priced cheaper than Far Harbor. It's gonna be smaller than Far Harbor.

After all of the Fallout 3 expansions this is pretty disappointing.

If it's on the scale of Far Harbor I'll be fine with it, but if that's the only big DLC we get its going to be a shame.

Well I paid only $30 so I am fine.

Although this is what their PR guy Pete Hines said when the price was changed.
We are making more than we planned and we aren’t going to continue to give away $60 or more worth of DLC for $30.

He thinks the DLC has the same amount of content as the full game.

$50 was crazy, $30 wasn't a bad deal. Far Harbor was pretty fun and I'm excited for Nuka World. Didn't buy the Season Pass though, didn't trust em. But for some reason I trusted Ubisoft with The Division, whoops.

I'm glad I got the season pass for $30. Apparently though the vault-tec dlc has a small quest in it so it's not as bad as the other workshop dlcs.

Hahahahahahaha so many people were convinced that Bethesda wasn't being shady when they said they were raising the SP price to $50, since there was "so much yet to be announced." It was a shady as fuck cash grab, designed to trick people into thinking they were getting a good deal. Plain and simple.

I don't care about all the "political intrigue" WRT DLC price hikes and whatnot. Fallout 4 is great, the DLC is great, fan made mods are great, mods on consoles are great, it's great all around!

so what's next for Bethesda? I thought they were jumping straight into Fallout 5, but I also thought I heard something about a new Elder Scrolls game. I guess I'm one of the fools who will buy anything they make sight unseen xD

Todd already confirmed this at E3. In multiple interviews.

Still think F4 was a good game and that mods make it even better.

If all the DLC was like the Fallout: New Vegas DLC, maybe I'd be okay with dropping $69.99 Canadian Dollars on the Season Pass but if this all you're getting with it, then holy shit. Even if the DLC addresses the issues I had with Fallout 4 that is an insane asking price for three packs of DLC that would have been created by modders anyways for a set of gameplay systems I don't even use or care about and two story expansions that likely won't match the breadth of content and additions present in a $19.99 Witcher 3 DLC let alone the season pass for that game. If I'm being totally honest with myself though, I probably would have been upset with my purchase at the $29.99 launch price for the Season Pass considering my feelings for the game.

I shoulda known better when they said "we're hiking the price, but not this week!". My dumbass fell for this hook line and sinker. 3 of the DLC can easily be done with mods and I still haven't finished FH. Crafting your robot buddy is pretty cool though, I guess.

Surprised that's it, I really liked Fallout 3 and NV DLC. Haven't bought any of the DLC yet, having a good enough time on Survival at level 50 without it. Maybe when there are sales, season passes are dumb.
