Pokémon Go is live on the Google Play Store

Welp, I can at least take comfort in knowing I'm not the only one :P.

I can't imagine them deleting or banning accounts for playing in non-supported regions (and I don't believe Niantic would even have control over Pokemon Trainer Club accounts...) so it's probably just a server hiccup.

It better be fixed tomorrow though because I wanna know what's up with my gyms! Or better yet, release the app worldwide...

So the most important thing of all what are the teams you get to choose from at level five and do they have descriptions?

I also dig that you can see if your pokemon are extra small or extra large, I think it adds some personality.

Now I just gotta wait for my area, and see if any of my devices will work.

Yes

Having the same issue, I just haven't tried a fresh account. Hope it didn't get banned just for being in a different region.

Looks like isn't a ban after all, I'm back on my main account, and it's running fine... not sure if it's related, but I deactivated all e-mail synchronization options on my phone.

Although I don't have anything remotely close to my home to interact right now, lol :v

And now I can't log back in.

Oh well, capped a nearby neutral gym in the 20 minutes I left the house!

Left an Oddish named Shrubbery there. Hope he holds up. I have a Raticate that I'm buffing, but he's not super strong yet. Just over 130CP.

This game is amazing, I'm actually spending time with my little sister, who'd rather be doing Roblox or something. She skipped church night to go Pokemon catching with me.

Thanks Nintendo, Gamefreak, and Niantic, for giving me a chance to bond with siblings!

Servers down before the game's actually out? Not a good sign.

This is probably why it has only been released in a few places. They probably didn;t expect so many people that aren't meant to be playing to download the APK and put extra stress on their servers. It's Pokemon though, they really should have expected it.

My camera glass is cracked. Damn my caseless ass. I hope it doesn't affect this game too much.

Just got the phone replaced too. Arg.

Yeah exactly. I don't think it's anything to be worried about, but I figured it was definitely why they were releasing the game at different times for each region. But I agree, they should have expected it, and maybe they were. But there's only so much that can be done with Android apps, and if the game is released the APK will soon follow.

Caught a Zubat on my way to football. It's fun to mess around with for a bit but it's a huge battery drain (Xperia Z5 Compact). I think I'll only play it when I'm on my way stuff anyways, not gonna bother searching for pokemon troughout the neighbourhood :P

I'm still getting server errors.

Are the people that can login people who side loaded or are you all people in Australia?

Oh by the way, these pokestops are super random. I have a coffeeshop pretty close to home (The Netherlands yay) and that's a pokestop

Having downloaded this, been able to grab a Pokemon and a name.... this is the weirdest and possibly worst idea for anything ever... why would I want to kill my battery doing this?

This game needs badly an idle mode, walking while looking at a screen is just silly (and dangerous). I understand the push notification mode is behind a paywall (bet it won't be in a few years) but that the game needs to restart every time the phone goes to the home screen is silly.

TL;DR, this needs more software developers.
