Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Hey guys, basic question I was hping you could help me out with: I'm currently level 7 and have never gotten a lure module dropped at a pokestop yet. How do I get lure modules besides purchasing them? Thanks!

Got two gyms for like an hour. Other Instinct members came and added Pokémon to the gyms, but they were all double digit CPs. I had my 1000k+ Vaporeon as the leader.


Way too many red and blue people around.



Also, can I have more than one Pokémon in a gym?
 
What one-gym dusty shithole do you people live in that it's only dominated by Valor and Mystic? Instinct hold shit down here just as well as the other two.

you get a couple by leveling up.

if you help defend gyms you can earn coins to buy lures

Go to a place with like 3 lures in the same area and catch everything you see. Once you level up some you'll get lucky eggs so then pop and egg and evolve everything you can at once.
 
Yellow is starting to come up. Its really cool when you see one yellow gym in a sea of red/blue, and defenders start popping up bit by bit.

I believe you get one freebie when you hit level 8 or 9? Or maybe that's lucky eggs. Either way, I have a lure module, and I haven't spent a cent on the game.
 
so can someone confirm.. if a gym is at level x, and has a free spot open, and you fill that slot with a pokemon with higher CP than all of the current ones at the gym, it instantly raises the gym to level x+1 and creates a new spot?

A level 3 gym was down the road, it had a slot open, so I stuck in a 609 Hypno which was the higher than the pokemon at the gym and the gym instantly became level 4 with an open spot. previously every slot I ever filled I was not the highest, and I just used up the spot.

You train in it to raise its prestige/unlock more defender spots

I think he means lucky eggs which double xp. In which case no, don't buy any. Save all your shit until you get your free lucky egg. Then use it and evolve, evolve, evolve. You'll get 1000xp an evolution.

I know that. please read what I wrote. the gym was 4000/8000, I stuck in a pokemon with higher CP than the other current ones in the free slot, and it instantly raised it to level 4 8000/12000. I did not train at the gym. I merely filled the available spot with a higher CP pokemon than was currently there and it seemed to instantly raise the level.
 
Thanks for the responses. There is a pokestop outside my work. Can my co workers and I put lure traps there and get a bunch of pokemon? It's only one stop though.
 
It's 10:20pm here at a park near my house. I come here at night often to think and listen to music. I'm usually alone , maybe one or two late night dog walkers. Tonight, people everywhere on the phones. Riding bikes. Couples enjoying a night walk and having fun while catching Pokemon. This "game" is awesome. I hope it lasts a while.

The is a park in our town with 4 pokestops within 30 ft of each other. It's been attracting a crowd everyday after 5 PM now. We're starting to see the "regulars" form. It's like a club meeting outdoors. Nearly got run over by a car hunting a Ryhorn.
