y'all ruining the thread with album rankings

Sorry I should have left it alone. But it would have evolved that way eventually. It always does after the "talentless" post.

So is recording phone calls cool with everyone?
if it's being used to disprove false information and spark dumb drama between celebrities I really couldn't care less. This is catching someone in a bold-faced lie, not revealing any personal information that could be used to harm anyone involved.

Kim K da gawd

Kim v Taylor

Doesn't matter to me. The entire series of events was still instigated by Kanye's bad behaviour.

But where's the lie? Where did they play the bit about her being a bitch and him making her famous?

It's an odd horse to hitch your wagon to. The bastion of credibility that is Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Taylor might as well go ahead, make it official, and sign up for a speaking slot at the RNC convention this week. She's got the requisite L.

Hey Taylor, you at least convinced one person.

Kanye apparently records everything while he's working on an album. It's not that weird of a thing for a musician to do in case they want to release a documentary or something.

On a phone? And I reckon anyone appearing on said documentary would sign a waiver of some sort...

Based on what I researched California, which is where Kanye resides, follows the two party consent system when it comes to recording phone calls in which both sides of the conversation must consent to the recording.

That's the goal post moved.

This entire time Taylor Swift and her PR team have been shading Kanye for the entire song in a promo bid.

Now that she's been outed for lying about the whole thing (and really, even THAT is on her. Kanye revealed about a month ago that he had a recording of her giving him permission. She should have kept it cute from that point), she's trying to narrow the focus down to that one specific part. lol

Uh the footage doesn't expose Swift...

The line she criticized isn't in the footage right? The part where he calls her a bitch and takes credit for her fame?

Oh lord if she tried to sue I can't imagine the ire of the Internet lol

But that isn't what her beef was about at the grammys? Her grammy beef was captured in the video.

Your girl is a fraud, accept it and move on. The sooner you do the better.

Nope, and the sheep in here have danced around it every time it has been brought up. It's telling.

Considering California is a two party consent state, that's pretty strange...

Didn't think so. If someone can show me where she heard that line, I'll back down. It's pretty simple. Until then, the sad West's have done nothing but help take the focus off a sinking career.

Whose sinking career? Kim's maybe? I'm not the biggest Kanye fan but he's still extremely popular. And Taylor's last album broke records, so... Who ya talking aboot?

Kanye. Kim never had any credibility, and West lost all of his except for his most desperate of fans after the perplexing behaviour and TLOP (kill me).

Why not on a phone...? It's 2016 lol.

Like I said, in case. A TLOP documentary probably won't happen, but Kanye is the kind of guy who could decide to do that on a whim. If he did, I'm sure all parties involved would have to sign something, yeah. This is a bit different, obviously, and I'm not saying that releasing the footage is completely ethical, just that Kanye likely didn't have any ill intentions when recording it.

I doubt Kanye even considered that. He should have. If Kanye needs to be called out over any aspect of this whole thing, it should be that.

Though does anyone hear the bitch line, got a timestamp in this vid? Cause I see people saying she heard it but I don't hear it at all in this vid? And that's what her publicist said she didn't hear about when they acknowledged she had this conversation a few weeks ago.

What's with all the audio drops and cuts in the recording? Apart from multiple times through the video right when she's talking at the end about the lyric in question there's an edit.

*shrug* the clips don't show him calling her a "bitch"

Yep, that's always been her issue with the track.

That much is clear ever since Kanye claimed to have gotten the OK from her about the line.

Which her PR team said was a total fabrication and that Kanye only asked TayTay to release the song on her Twitter.

In addition to her PR team stating that Taylor not only gave her disapproval, but also told Kanye that the song had a misogynistic message. She definitely said all that in the phone call.

To top it off, it's obvious that the inclusion of the word "bitch" was always the problem when she said the following in her Grammy acceptance speech.

"As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but, if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment."

Poor Taylor, if only she had known that Kanye's song was going to imply that he made her famous.

I'm sure she had no knowledge of her attorneys sending a letter to Kimye asking that the video of her and Kanye's conversation be deleted.

Damn that Kanye, maybe the next time he decides to humiliate Taylor he will remember to pick up a phone first. You know, as a friend.

This is what I am curious about. What did Taylor and her team say initially about Famous and has that changed? I haven't followed this much until now.

Also, Taylor sounds incredibly supportive of the whole idea on the snapchat video, even thanking Kanye several times for calling her but what I've read from her PR sounds like she didn't agree with the idea at all and they say she cautioned him against misogynistic lyrics like she was offended. But she doesn't sound that way on the call. I think her PR team is trying to protect her image and trashing Kanye to do it.
