Kim Kardashian releases video of Kanye/Taylor Swift conversation about "Famous" lyric

I wonder what kind of threats Taydolf made to Selener to get her to jump on her sword to distract attention like that. The swearing in the tweets indicates a high level of duress, since Selener never swears. My guess is that she threatened Bad Blood 2.0.

Yeah, she lied.

It's the most baffling story, really. Of all the things that she could get called out for. With some proof she was made aware of the lyrics/song beforehand and gave her 👌 yet proceeded to claim she's offended by it.

This, this, is the thing that shows Taylor Squeaky Clean Swift out to be a terrible person by not being honest about it all and reportedly creating faux outrage. A rap lyric by Kanye of all people calling her a bitch and saying they may still have sex. Lmao, you can't make this up.

WTF is going on? I'm deleting all my Taylor Swift songs from my Iphone now!!!
Taylor, how could you do this to me? You were supposed to be the chosen one!!!!

Oh, wait...I don't have any Taylor Swift songs on my iphone....nevermind....LIAR!!!!!

For all my Southside niggas that know me best
I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex
Why? I made that bitch famous (God damn)
I made that bitch famous

There has been no evidence shown that the lyrics in bold were repeated to her during the conversation. Until that footage surfaces, she is innocent and both Kanye and Kim are cunts for playing their stupid game. But IF the phone conversation had the bold part as well, then Taylor deserves all the negativity she has been receiving for the last couple of hours and for what's to follow.

Then you have another Kardashian posting a picture of some random girls asshole on social media and claiming it is that of a 19 year old girl who Kim/Kanye dislike.

Exactly. Why can't they just show the damn footage of her hearing the offending lines? It seems so simple if she did infact hear it...

I guess she didn't.

The video where he calls her for approval and she gives it whole heartedly? Again, I'd she had said, "I never approved him calling me a bitch," she would be in the clear. But the PR quote says he never called for approval when he obviously did.
Not true. She always said there was a call regarding this song and releasing it on twitter, but that she was never made aware of the bitch lyric about her. That's what her original PR statement said. As far as I can see, there is no footage of him telling her that line. And that line is specifically the one she referenced being offended by at the Grammys.

True, it's all about the expectation of privacy. This will lead to depositions of whether Swift knew she was on speaker. Anyway, I wouldn't bother with civil action. It would just keep this in the press longer and be a huge unnecessary legal bill. Do something like Drake did when he got into an argument with another artist, release a song that lowers the West family down a peg or two. Then the drama makes everyone money.
The thing is Taylor could beat Kanye but she's not gonna be able to beat Kim. You can't slander her really. It's all already out there

I love Taylor and I don't like Kanye's public personality (even though his music was good) but you don't talk about character assesination when your albums have been a passive aggresive letter against Jack Gylenhall, Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Taylor Lautner and the likes.

I think that those Famous lyrics are stupid and offensive (the "I made that bitch famous" line) but if she really gave Kanye the pass just to lure him into a PR trap then she deserves the backlash. Even if I find Taylor a very kind person for the people she likes, I can tell she moves in a very shady way against those that she doesn't like.

fucking lol

What do you define talent as?

someone who has) a natural ability to be good at something, especially without being taught:

Kim was Paris Hilton's friend, a sex tape she made got leaked, and she became a reality TV star. She used that to create her brand.

She's a smart, shrewd women. But she didn't create a company from humble beginnings and have it become a known brand, she mortgaged fame she got from a sex tape into a business. And hey, good for her - she's now a brand unto herself. But none of that required talent so much as luck and timing.

She's not referring to the incident because she's speaking of a hypothetical conversation with members of the press about her thoughts on the song. There is not one moment during that specific dialogue where she switches gears and changes the subject to anything else other than the being questioned about the song. This is a fact because those are her words recorded on video.

Once again you continue to ignore the facts of the situation. She said that Kanye only asked her to release the video on twitter. She said that she didn't give him approval. She said that she warned him of releasing a song with a misogynistic message. She dissed him during her Grammy's acceptance speech for taking credit for her accomplishments. She got caught lying about all the above and is now playing the only card she has left which is the, "he called me a bitch" card. Now you're bringing up that he didn't play it for her while ignoring what the thread is actually about. You've had receipts thrown in your face for 20 pages from multiple posters but you still choose to ignore them. It's starting to feel like I'm arguing with my uncle about climate change, so I'm moving on.
How was she caught lying? We haven't seen the whole conversation, and you've conveniently ignored that there was specifically a long in Swift'a original PR comment that said she did not approve the "I made that bitch famous" lyric. That's the line her statement called out. And so far there's no footage of him disclosing that line or sending her the actual song.

Since we also don't have the full video, there's nothing there to make the claim she lied about him asking for it to release on Twitter or about her expressing concern for the tone like she said.

There has been no evidence shown that the lyrics in bold were repeated to her during the conversation.

It's a few things. The outrage seems to be that her representative stated she'd never even received a call from Kanye about the lyrics which is incorrect insofar as he did call her about the lyrics but it's currently not clear if both lines were discussed, nevertheless she did think the line about them having sex was controversial in a 'good' way and stated she'd be 'in' on the controversy if it hits since she could say she knew all along.

The second claim she's being called out on seems to be that she had never heard the full song when according to producer Ken Ehrlich she had an advanced copy "weeks" before release. So people are claiming her post-release outrage was, in part, a deceptive move and are calling her out on it, along with some 'I never liked her anyway' schadenfreude.

In all it's just amusing how of all the things this could be about Swift is being chastised for her dishonesty (rightly, if she knew) regarding what is an ultimately low brow rap lyric.

Then you have another Kardashian posting a picture of some random girls asshole on social media and claiming it is that of a 19 year old girl who Kim/Kanye dislike.

The person who posted that here has said it's a fake account, nevertheless things like this bring out the stupid in many no doubt.

Taylor stans are never going to accept the girl is a fake or a liar. Which is fine. But I don't get why she felt a need to lie about this.

If you were cool with it when Ye called you why don't you just say so? If you changed your mind.why not just admit you had a change of heart. It's not at all bad to say "I did say w/e but I really thought about it and I don't want that type of language stamped with my aproval". All this shady business is simply showing the girl has zero integrity.

It's not like anyone is coming to bat for Kanye making the lyric. But this is some grade A pr fuckery. It come across as trying to be perpetuate youraelf as a victim. Clearly she isnt in this situation.

Just caught up with the thread and whew. Trying to hold back on lighting up a certain wascilly wabbit... Seems his Selena already got banned... But I don't know. My Ye' post was tag worthy... Not sure wabbit stew would do anything new for me.

Anyway. I haven't laughed this hard since Zola lol.

Or perhaps we think they're all fucking children.

Kim is that girl. She knocked out Taylor with that Rocky IV track.

And poor Selena. She got hit like Ricky in Boyz In The Hood.

LOL

Y'all are STILL caping for A lost cause.

Where's the party of the tape where Taylor refuses Kanye permission and chastises him about the lyrics.

Didn't happen.

She lied. Just deal.

Kim K. also confirmed shady as hell by this. She knew there was this video all along and she didn't address that fact until Taylor had enough time to maneuver herself into a corner. She could have said from the very beginning. "Hey, we have it on video, don't lie."
I dont even like k kardashian, but why would she? Let her lie and then expose her

No it is that one Kardashian sister who has posted the fake Moretz pic. It is a verified account and Chloe Moretz even reacted to it.

I read the OP and the second post summarizing everything. Has Taylor or her people responded to this yet?

Can't be bothered to read through 12 pages of a celebrity gossip thread lol

From Kanye's perspective, Taylor agreed to the song. And, as Taylor herself points out, Kanye went out of his way to get her approval.

Now when she heard the finished track a few months later (and she allegedly heard it BEFORE the public debut and could have told Kanye not to release it) she ends up not being cool with it, which is perfectly fine.

The contentious part comes when Taylor and her team backpedal, move the goalposts and play the victim instead of being professional.

Something like "Yeah, um Kanye had actually contacted me a few months ago about the song and I said I was cool with it then but you know, once I had time to think about it and listened to the final track it just didn't sit right with me" is all we're asking for here. You assassinated your own character.

From an article in Feb:

According to a message supplied to EW from Swift’s rep, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/12/taylor-swift-kanye-west-famous

Taylor clearly exaggerated how disappointed she was with the lyrics she was told about. She did hesitate a bit in the video of the call, but I wouldn't exactly say she ''cautioned him''.

She was never told about the lyric, ''I made that bitch famous'' and that is the problem here. That was always the problem and anyone saying different is in denial. Her whole Grammy speech was directed at that line.

Either way, I am not sure why anybody in this thread is defending such a misogynistic song. Regardless of whether Taylor approved it or not, he should not have done it. At no point should he have thought calling Taylor a bitch and claiming he made her famous was a good idea. Especially in the context of their relationship.

I understand the forum hates Taylor, but you guys need to look at things more objectively.

Taylor posted a screenshot of a note she wrote on her phone on Instagram. Apprently she never knew he'd call her a bitch, and she's sick of people character assassinating her.
